✨ Top 5 Guides: June

✨ June was such a busy month in Disney Dreamlight Valley, with new characters, quests, features and plenty of things to explore throughout the Valley.

It's been a very busy few months in Dreamlight Valley, with no signs of slowing down for the rest of the year... and somewhere amongst everything happening, I completely forgot to share this post earlier in the month 😅 I've loved putting together so many new guides and Journal Entries along the way, so I thought this would be a nice opportunity to share five of the most popular guides from June in one easy place.

Whether you're catching up on a recent quest, working through cooking recipes, or looking for a little extra help with a feature in-game, you can jump directly into each guide below.

These are just a few of the guides I've shared throughout June, with plenty more available across my Cozy Valley Journal blog. I'm constantly adding new entries as I explore updates, complete quests and discover more around Dreamlight Valley.

Thanks for catching up with me today, and I'll see you in the next Cozy Valley Journal entry.

✨ Honeyglow Woods Adventure Pack Arrives Tomorrow!

dreamlight valley Honeyglow Woods Adventure Pack

The next Disney Dreamlight Valley update is almost here, with the Honeyglow Woods Adventure Pack arriving tomorrow! I can't wait to jump into the game and begin uncovering the mystery behind Honeyglow Woods.

This is the first update of its kind, with Gameloft introducing Adventure Packs as a new type of paid DLC that sits alongside the free content updates we continue to receive throughout the year, while still leaving room for the larger yearly Expansions we've come to expect. If you've been wondering how Adventure Packs differ from Expansions, Gameloft explained it best:

"Some ideas for content don't quite fit into a free update but also don't quite fill out the scope of a yearly Expansion, which is why we created Adventure Packs!"

dreamlight valley Honeyglow Woods Adventure Pack new quests, characters, biomes, furniture, critter companion, meals, winnie the pooh

Honeyglow Woods introduces three new characters - Winnie the Pooh, Eeyore, and Piglet - each bringing their own friendship quests, rewards, and charming new homes to the Valley.

Alongside the new characters are four beautiful new areas to explore: Drowsybloom Acre, Gloommeadow, Braveheart Grove, and Nectar Apiary, each looking wonderfully unique from the next. There's also a brand-new story to experience, a new critter companion, cooking recipes, furniture, the new Beekeeping feature, enchantments, and I'm sure plenty of surprises Gameloft has deliberately kept hidden. Honestly, discovering those unexpected little moments is one of my favourite parts of every update.

One thing I'm still hoping to see is Honeyglow Woods getting the base Valley stalls, such as Beast's Greenhouse or Kristoff's Stall, but stocked with resources exclusive to the Honeyglow Woods. Whether that happens or not, there's already so much to look forward to. I also can't wait to browse through the updated Collection menu, check out the new map, and explore every corner of Honeyglow Woods at my own pace.

dreamlight valley Honeyglow Woods Adventure Pack release date, release time

With less than 12 hours to go until Honeyglow Woods becomes available, I've created my usual release time graphic above for a selection of regions around the world. Release times will vary depending on where you're playing from, so I hope it helps you plan your first adventure.

For me, the update arrives at 11:00 PM (AEST), so I'll be purchasing it as soon as it becomes available before letting everything download overnight. That means I'll be ready to step into Honeyglow Woods bright and early on 9 July, coffee in hand as always.

dreamlight valley Honeyglow Woods update patch notes fast travel menu change

Gameloft has also released the official Patch Notes ahead of launch, giving us a closer look at what's coming, along with the usual collection of bug fixes and a quality-of-life improvement.

One detail I was really pleased to read is that not only can the Honeyglow Woods Tree Portal be placed anywhere in your Valley, but also anywhere on your base game Floating Islands. It can also be removed/replaced at anytime.

The new Beekeeping feature also isn't limited to Honeyglow Woods. Busy Bees' Houses can be placed throughout your base Valley too, which opens up some fun decorating possibilities. I'm also hoping that extends to existing DLC areas, but we'll soon find out!

Another improvement that caught my attention is the refreshed Fast Travel menu. It features a new layout along with the ability to favourite your most-visited locations. It'll be available to all players, and I always appreciate these smaller quality-of-life improvements that make everyday gameplay just a little smoother.

Some other highlights for me include the fix for missing raindrop visuals on certain platforms (I was definitely affected by that one!) and Gameloft's helpful heads-up about an upcoming Eeyore quest that includes a simple workaround should you run into the issue.

There's also plenty more covered in the full Patch Notes on the official Disney Dreamlight Valley website.

dreamlight valley Honeyglow Woods twitch drop piglet's clothesline

There's also a brand-new Twitch Drop arriving with the update!

From July 8 at 10:00 AM EDT until July 15 at 9:59 AM EDT, you'll be able to unlock Piglet's Clothesline simply by watching participating Disney Dreamlight Valley Twitch streams.

I'm completely new to Twitch Drops myself 😂, but from what I've learned, you'll first need to link your Twitch account with the account you use to play Disney Dreamlight Valley. After that, simply watch a participating stream for 60 minutes, claim the reward through Twitch, and it should arrive in your in-game mailbox.

You can link your Twitch account through the official Disney Dreamlight Valley website, where you'll also find the full list of participating creators. If this is your first Twitch Drop too, you're definitely not alone!

Don't forget that Honeyglow Woods also includes an Early Adopter Bonus!

If you purchase and play the Honeyglow Woods Adventure Pack before 22 July, you'll unlock the exclusive Rainy Day Winnie the Pooh Dream Style, which will be delivered straight to your in-game mailbox. It's a lovely little bonus for jumping into Honeyglow Woods early, so definitely don't miss it if you're planning on picking up the Adventure Pack.

▶️ To add to the excitement, I've also been creating a range of Honeyglow Woods videos over on my YouTube channel, with my latest covering the things I'm most looking forward to in this Adventure Pack. You can check that out here.

Thanks for joining me in today's Cozy Valley Journal entry. I hope you have an amazing time taking your first steps into Honeyglow Woods and enjoy that familiar feeling of loading into a brand-new adventure for the very first time.

If you're just as excited for this update as I am, be sure to stop by my socials over the coming days. I'll be sharing my adventures, guides, discoveries, and plenty more as I explore Honeyglow Woods 🍯

✨ Shopping: Hercules Furniture

Dreamlight Valley Hercules Furniture - Scrooges Store

You all know how much I love furniture pieces in Disney Dreamlight Valley, and the Hercules collection certainly did not disappoint! From Scrooges, friendship rewards and the Star Path - the new Hercules additions with the latest update have been my absolute favourite so far... though I feel like I end up saying that with every new update.

Today's entry focuses on the Hercules furniture items you can purchase from Scrooge's store. I've continued cataloguing complete furniture collections, and this time I've put together every Hercules-themed furniture item currently available to purchase in Disney Dreamlight Valley. Rather than showcasing individual finds as they appear, I've realised I much prefer waiting until I've completed a full collection before sharing it here. It gives a much better appreciation for the overall theme, how each piece works together, and lets me see everything I have to work with when decorating.

Inspired by the world of Hercules, this collection embraces grand Grecian architecture with towering pillars, ornate stonework, luxurious furnishings, and decorative pieces that wouldn't feel out of place on Mount Olympus itself. Compared to the more rustic Pocahontas collection I recently covered, this set feels far more elegant and dramatic, and is perfect for anyone looking to create palaces, temples, courtyards, or mythological-inspired builds throughout the Valley.

Dreamlight Valley Hercules Furniture Hercules Villa Column, Luxury Grecian Spa, Grecian Stone Bench, Crafting Station, Chaise Lounge

One of the biggest strengths of this collection is how many of the pieces become focal points, whether used outdoors or as centrepieces within a room, with so many genuine stand-out additions. The Luxury Grecian Fireplace immediately draws your attention, while the Luxury Grecian Spa feels like one of the most unique decorative pieces released in recent updates. Combined with the Grecian Chaise Lounge and Grecian Crafting Station, it's surprisingly easy to create luxurious villa-style interiors that still feel practical and lived in.

Dreamlight Valley Hercules Furniture Greek Warrior Column, Greek Hero, Hermes, Artemis Pillar, Zeus Pillar, Lightning Generator

The architectural pieces are another standout aspect of the collection, where each piece continues to shine. Between the Artemis Pillar, Hermes Pillar, Zeus Pillar, Greek Hero Column, Greek Warrior Column, Hercules' Villa Column, Grecian Villa Alcove, and Grecian Villa Doors, there are so many opportunities to build impressive entrances, outdoor courtyards, or elegant indoor spaces. Paired with Hercules' Villa Wallpaper and Hercules' Villa Tile, the entire collection creates a cohesive aesthetic that immediately transports you into the world of Hercules.

Dreamlight Valley Hercules Furniture Luxury Grecian Fireplace, Hercules Villa Wallpaper

One small detail I did notice while putting this guide together is the Grecian Stone Bench. Interestingly, this item currently carries the Cinderella tag in-game, which feels a little out of place considering its design and how naturally it fits alongside the rest of the Hercules furniture collection. Personally, I think this is simply an oversight and that it really belongs with the Hercules set (update: Tag was corrected to Hercules in a future update).

Dreamlight Valley Hercules Furniture Grecian Villa Doors, Grecian Villa Alcove, Hercules Villa Tile

Another thing I've really come to appreciate with furniture collections is how versatile they are outside of their original theme. While every piece works extremely well together, many of them can also be mixed into existing castle builds, formal gardens, royal interiors, or ancient ruins without feeling tied exclusively to Hercules. Collections that offer that kind of flexibility always end up becoming some of my favourites to decorate with, and they're a big part of what keeps me coming back to this game.

Looking back over all eighteen pieces together, it's impressive just how cohesive this collection feels. Every item complements another without becoming repetitive, making it one of the strongest complete furniture sets currently available through Scrooge's store. Whether you're recreating Mount Olympus or simply looking for elegant Grecian accents, there's plenty here to inspire your next build.

Dreamlight Valley Hercules Furniture Olympian Gods Mosaic

Don't forget, you can click on any of the images in this journal entry to view them in a larger size. I'll also be looking to create a video soon showcasing the Hercules collection, which I've been so impressed with.

As always, thank you so much for following along with my journal entries and all of my Dreamlight Valley content.

✨ Villager Overview: Hades

Dreamlight Valley Storybook Vale Hercules - Hades Overview Guide

✨ This Villager Overview takes a fiery turn, focusing on Hades from Hercules. Sharp-witted, endlessly sarcastic, and always ready with a clever comeback, Hades brings a completely different personality to the Valley. While he's technically one of Disney's greatest villains, there's something incredibly entertaining about the way he approaches almost every situation.

From unlocking him through Storybook Vale to progressing through his friendship quests, Hades' storyline blends humour, ambition, and just enough chaos to keep things interesting. Hades never takes himself too seriously, and that ends up being part of his charm.

🔓 How To Unlock Hades
(Click on any image to enlarge)

Dreamlight Valley Storybook Vale Hades How to UnlockDreamlight Valley Storybook Vale Hades Villager House Hades' Lair

Hades is part of the Storybook Vale DLC and is unlocked through the Elysian Fields biome within Mythopia after completing the "Guts & Glory" story quest. You'll first encounter Hades inside the Mythic Trial, and during the quest you'll construct Hades' Lair in Storybook Vale, officially unlocking him and adding him to your collection.

Unlike many villagers, Hades feels like someone you've already spent plenty of time with before he officially joins the Valley. By the time he's unlocked, his personality is already well established, making his arrival feel like a natural continuation of the overall Valley storyline.

Hades' Lair is one of the more striking homes added to the game. It has a dramatic design that fits perfectly within Mythopia, though I also think it could work well in darker corners of the Valley if you're aiming for a more villain-inspired area.

📜 Hades' Friendship Quests

Dreamlight Valley Storybook Vale Hades Friendship Quests

Hades' friendship quests lean heavily into clever dialogue, unexpected situations, and plenty of sarcastic humour. Even when things don't quite go to plan, there's always a sense that he's trying to stay one step ahead... whether or not that's actually working. Here are Hades' friendship quests in order. From memory, his first quest, "Mythic Restoration," becomes available shortly after welcoming him to the Vale.

Level -: Mythic Restoration
Level 4: Yes, Your Lugubriousness
Level 7: Your Own Personal Hades
Level 10: Fine, I'll Do It Myself

One of my favourite parts of Hades' questline was simply the dialogue. There were quite a few moments that genuinely made me laugh, and it felt like the writers captured his personality incredibly well throughout.

As with every villager, you can increase Hades' friendship level through daily conversations, favourite gifts, completing quests, or asking him to hang out while you work around the Valley. I ended up assigning Hades the Digging role, as it was probably the one I'd neglected the most and wanted a few extra resources while gathering materials.

🎁 Hades' Friendship Rewards

Dreamlight Valley Storybook Vale Hades Friendship Rewards

Hades' friendship rewards stay beautifully on theme, leaning into darker colours and Underworld-inspired designs. Even if you aren't building a villain-themed area, the two furniture rewards in this set work great as dramatic decorative pieces.

Level 2: Underworld Torch Stand (Furniture item)
Level 3: Design Motif (Customisable)
Level 4: 500 Star Coins
Level 5: Underworld Sandals (Clothing item)
Level 6: Design Motif (Customisable)
Level 7: 1,000 Star Coins
Level 8: Underworld Throne (Furniture item)
Level 9: Design Motif (Customisable)
Level 10: Armor of the Styx (Clothing item | Quest locked)

Including the above listed level 10 reward, the following rewards are unlocked by completing Hades' friendship quests, rather than simply reaching each friendship level:

⭐ Level -: Marble Hades Statue (Furniture item; set of 4)
⭐ Level 7: Hades Kiosk (Furniture item), and Hades Merch Tee (Clothing item)
⭐ Level 10: Corinthian Marble DJ Table (Furniture item)

You'll find these quest-locked rewards highlighted in the images below.

Dreamlight Valley Storybook Vale Hades Friendship Quest Rewards

✨ Hades ended up being one of my favourite villain additions to Dreamlight Valley. Even though he's constantly scheming and convinced he has everything under control, he's never overly serious, and that's exactly what makes him so much fun to have around.

His animations are fantastic, but it's really his dialogue that steals the show. The sarcasm, exaggerated reactions, and constant stream of witty remarks feel exactly like they did in the original Hercules film. Every conversation somehow manages to make him feel both dramatic and strangely likeable.

I also loved how unique his home feels and how well his home fits within Storybook Vale. Hades' Lair has a huge visual presence without feeling out of place, and I can already picture some incredible Mythopia builds centred around it.

Hades has now been added to the Villager Overview hub, completing the current Hercules collection. If you're planning to unlock Phil or Hercules, you can also check out their Villager Overviews, along with all the other characters I've covered so far. It's been so much fun revisiting one of my favourite Disney franchises, and I can't wait to keep expanding the Villager Overview Hub with even more characters and adventures throughout the year.

✨ Cooking Recipes From Storybook Vale | Entrees: Part 1

Dreamlight Valley Storybook Vale Cooking - Entrees

🍲 With the appetizer collection now complete, it felt like the perfect time to move on to one of the biggest sections in Storybook Vale - the entrée menu. Rather than trying to squeeze everything into one enormous post, I've decided to break this catalogue into four parts, starting with these first 15 recipes. It feels like a much more enjoyable way to work through the collection, and it gives each group of dishes a chance to shine.

What immediately stood out to me about this first batch is just how much variety it offers. There are fresh, colourful salads sitting alongside magical seafood recipes, rustic breads, and even a few meals that sound like they belong in a fairy tale. That's one of the things I'm really enjoying about Storybook Vale's cooking catalogue so far-it isn't afraid to mix everyday comfort food with recipes that feel completely unique to this expansion.

A few favourites quickly caught my eye while putting this collection together. A Very Unusual Tea Time and Argossian Pizza both have plenty of character, Cacio e Pepe keeps things beautifully simple, and Arcane Garlic Crab and Flying Fish Quenelles bring a little extra fantasy to the table. Then there are recipes like Barley Salad, Caprese Salad, and Cauliflower Steak, which feel perfect for building relaxed outdoor dining areas or cosy kitchens tucked away somewhere in the Vale.

These recipes mainly combine ingredients gathered throughout Storybook Vale, in addition to a very small selection of familiar staples from the main Valley. There was one ingredient that I found interesting: Cinnamon - as this originally was available in Eternity Isle, though you can also find it in The Bind. Together these ingredients create a really enjoyable mix of everyday cooking and expansion-exclusive dishes, making this a great introduction to the Vale's larger entrée collection.

While working through the recipes, one ingredient that caught my attention was Cinnamon. Although it originally appeared in Eternity Isle, you can also forage for it in The Bind, which I thought was a neat connection between the two expansions.

In addition to the images above, you'll find a full breakdown of every recipe featured in this entry below, including ingredients, star ratings, Energy values, and Star Coin sell prices. Energy and Star Coin values can vary depending on the ingredients used, particularly for recipes that accept generic items or when additional ingredients are added while cooking.

This is only the beginning of the Storybook Vale entrée catalogue, with another three collections still to come before the full menu is complete. I'm already looking forward to seeing how the remaining recipes build on this first batch - and, knowing me, I'll probably discover a few more favourites along the way.

If you'd like to explore even more Storybook Vale cooking in the meantime, you can also browse my complete Storybook Vale appetizer collection here, or you can check out all cooking recipes I've catalogued so far for Eternity Isle here.

Thanks for joining me in today's cooking journal entry. I hope this first collection gives you a little inspiration for your own kitchens, and I'll be back soon with the next batch of Storybook Vale entrées.
