✨ Shopping: Hercules Furniture

You all know how much I love furniture pieces in Disney Dreamlight Valley, and the Hercules collection certainly did not disappoint! From Scrooges, friendship rewards and the Star Path - the new Hercules additions with the latest update have been my absolute favourite so far... though I feel like I end up saying that with every new update.

Today's entry focuses on the Hercules furniture items you can purchase from Scrooge's store. I've continued cataloguing complete furniture collections, and this time I've put together every Hercules-themed furniture item currently available to purchase in Disney Dreamlight Valley. Rather than showcasing individual finds as they appear, I've realised I much prefer waiting until I've completed a full collection before sharing it here. It gives a much better appreciation for the overall theme, how each piece works together, and lets me see everything I have to work with when decorating.

Inspired by the world of Hercules, this collection embraces grand Grecian architecture with towering pillars, ornate stonework, luxurious furnishings, and decorative pieces that wouldn't feel out of place on Mount Olympus itself. Compared to the more rustic Pocahontas collection I recently covered, this set feels far more elegant and dramatic, and is perfect for anyone looking to create palaces, temples, courtyards, or mythological-inspired builds throughout the Valley.

One of the biggest strengths of this collection is how many of the pieces become focal points, whether used outdoors or as centrepieces within a room, with so many genuine stand-out additions. The Luxury Grecian Fireplace immediately draws your attention, while the Luxury Grecian Spa feels like one of the most unique decorative pieces released in recent updates. Combined with the Grecian Chaise Lounge and Grecian Crafting Station, it's surprisingly easy to create luxurious villa-style interiors that still feel practical and lived in.

The architectural pieces are another standout aspect of the collection, where each piece continues to shine. Between the Artemis Pillar, Hermes Pillar, Zeus Pillar, Greek Hero Column, Greek Warrior Column, Hercules' Villa Column, Grecian Villa Alcove, and Grecian Villa Doors, there are so many opportunities to build impressive entrances, outdoor courtyards, or elegant indoor spaces. Paired with Hercules' Villa Wallpaper and Hercules' Villa Tile, the entire collection creates a cohesive aesthetic that immediately transports you into the world of Hercules.

One small detail I did notice while putting this guide together is the Grecian Stone Bench. Interestingly, this item currently carries the Cinderella tag in-game, which feels a little out of place considering its design and how naturally it fits alongside the rest of the Hercules furniture collection. Personally, I think this is simply an oversight and that it really belongs with the Hercules set (update: Tag was corrected to Hercules in a future update).

Another thing I've really come to appreciate with furniture collections is how versatile they are outside of their original theme. While every piece works extremely well together, many of them can also be mixed into existing castle builds, formal gardens, royal interiors, or ancient ruins without feeling tied exclusively to Hercules. Collections that offer that kind of flexibility always end up becoming some of my favourites to decorate with, and they're a big part of what keeps me coming back to this game.

Looking back over all eighteen pieces together, it's impressive just how cohesive this collection feels. Every item complements another without becoming repetitive, making it one of the strongest complete furniture sets currently available through Scrooge's store. Whether you're recreating Mount Olympus or simply looking for elegant Grecian accents, there's plenty here to inspire your next build.

Don't forget, you can click on any of the images in this journal entry to view them in a larger size. I'll also be looking to create a video soon showcasing the Hercules collection, which I've been so impressed with.

As always, thank you so much for following along with my journal entries and all of my Dreamlight Valley content.

✨ Villager Overview: Hades

✨ This Villager Overview takes a fiery turn, focusing on Hades from Hercules. Sharp-witted, endlessly sarcastic, and always ready with a clever comeback, Hades brings a completely different personality to the Valley. While he's technically one of Disney's greatest villains, there's something incredibly entertaining about the way he approaches almost every situation.

From unlocking him through Storybook Vale to progressing through his friendship quests, Hades' storyline blends humour, ambition, and just enough chaos to keep things interesting. Hades never takes himself too seriously, and that ends up being part of his charm.

🔓 How To Unlock Hades
(Click on any image to enlarge)

Hades is part of the Storybook Vale DLC and is unlocked through the Elysian Fields biome within Mythopia after completing the "Guts & Glory" story quest. You'll first encounter Hades inside the Mythic Trial, and during the quest you'll construct Hades' Lair in Storybook Vale, officially unlocking him and adding him to your collection.

Unlike many villagers, Hades feels like someone you've already spent plenty of time with before he officially joins the Valley. By the time he's unlocked, his personality is already well established, making his arrival feel like a natural continuation of the overall Valley storyline.

Hades' Lair is one of the more striking homes added to the game. It has a dramatic design that fits perfectly within Mythopia, though I also think it could work well in darker corners of the Valley if you're aiming for a more villain-inspired area.

📜 Hades' Friendship Quests

Hades' friendship quests lean heavily into clever dialogue, unexpected situations, and plenty of sarcastic humour. Even when things don't quite go to plan, there's always a sense that he's trying to stay one step ahead... whether or not that's actually working. Here are Hades' friendship quests in order. From memory, his first quest, "Mythic Restoration," becomes available shortly after welcoming him to the Vale.

Level -: Mythic Restoration
Level 4: Yes, Your Lugubriousness
Level 7: Your Own Personal Hades
Level 10: Fine, I'll Do It Myself

One of my favourite parts of Hades' questline was simply the dialogue. There were quite a few moments that genuinely made me laugh, and it felt like the writers captured his personality incredibly well throughout.

As with every villager, you can increase Hades' friendship level through daily conversations, favourite gifts, completing quests, or asking him to hang out while you work around the Valley. I ended up assigning Hades the Digging role, as it was probably the one I'd neglected the most and wanted a few extra resources while gathering materials.

🎁 Hades' Friendship Rewards

Hades' friendship rewards stay beautifully on theme, leaning into darker colours and Underworld-inspired designs. Even if you aren't building a villain-themed area, the two furniture rewards in this set work great as dramatic decorative pieces.

Level 2: Underworld Torch Stand (Furniture item)
Level 3: Design Motif (Customisable)
Level 4: 500 Star Coins
Level 5: Underworld Sandals (Clothing item)
Level 6: Design Motif (Customisable)
Level 7: 1,000 Star Coins
Level 8: Underworld Throne (Furniture item)
Level 9: Design Motif (Customisable)
Level 10: Armor of the Styx (Clothing item | Quest locked)

Including the above listed level 10 reward, the following rewards are unlocked by completing Hades' friendship quests, rather than simply reaching each friendship level:

⭐ Level -: Marble Hades Statue (Furniture item; set of 4)
⭐ Level 7: Hades Kiosk (Furniture item), and Hades Merch Tee (Clothing item)
⭐ Level 10: Corinthian Marble DJ Table (Furniture item)

You'll find these quest-locked rewards highlighted in the images below.

✨ Hades ended up being one of my favourite villain additions to Dreamlight Valley. Even though he's constantly scheming and convinced he has everything under control, he's never overly serious, and that's exactly what makes him so much fun to have around.

His animations are fantastic, but it's really his dialogue that steals the show. The sarcasm, exaggerated reactions, and constant stream of witty remarks feel exactly like they did in the original Hercules film. Every conversation somehow manages to make him feel both dramatic and strangely likeable.

I also loved how unique his home feels and how well his home fits within Storybook Vale. Hades' Lair has a huge visual presence without feeling out of place, and I can already picture some incredible Mythopia builds centred around it.

Hades has now been added to the Villager Overview hub, completing the current Hercules collection. If you're planning to unlock Phil or Hercules, you can also check out their Villager Overviews, along with all the other characters I've covered so far. It's been so much fun revisiting one of my favourite Disney franchises, and I can't wait to keep expanding the Villager Overview Hub with even more characters and adventures throughout the year.

✨ Villager Overview: Hercules

✨ This Villager Overview celebrates one of Disney's most iconic heroes, focusing on Hercules. Brave, humble, and always willing to lend a hand, Hercules brings a genuinely uplifting energy to the Valley that feels refreshing from the moment he arrives. Even with all his legendary strength, it's his kindness and determination that really define his character.

From unlocking him through the Hercules realm storyline to progressing through his friendship quests, Hercules' journey continues the themes of courage, friendship, and earning your place through actions rather than recognition. It all feels true to the film, and I couldn't have been happier to finally welcome him to the Valley.

🔓 How To Unlock Hercules
(Click on any image to enlarge)

To unlock Hercules, you'll need to open the Hercules Realm in the Dream Castle and complete the "A Real Godly Mess" realm quest - the final of four realm quests you'll need to complete. During this quest, you'll construct Hercules' Villa, and once it's built, Hercules is officially unlocked and added to your collection.

His arrival feels like a natural conclusion to the Realm storyline, and I really appreciated how much time the game spends letting you get to know his character before he officially joins your collection.

Hercules' home is easily one of my favourites added to the game. It captures the grandeur of Mount Olympus beautifully while still feeling surprisingly versatile when decorating. I've currently placed it in the Valley, but I already know it'll eventually find its permanent home in Mythopia within Storybook Vale. It feels like the perfect setting for one large, majestic build inspired by Ancient Greece. Not to mention, all the furniture introduced with this update - between Scrooge's Store, friendship rewards, and the Star Path - has more than tempted me to make this one truly epic.

📜 Hercules' Friendship Quests

Hercules' friendship quests focus on helping others, overcoming challenges, and proving that true strength isn't just about physical power. They balance lighthearted moments with meaningful interactions, making his questline feel both rewarding and enjoyable from beginning to end.
Here are Hercules' friendship quests in order:

Level 2: The Grecian Urn
Level 4: Aquatic Musings
Level 7: Medicinal Mortality
Level 10: Battle of the Coaches

As with every villager, you can increase Hercules' friendship level through daily conversations, favourite gifts, completing quests, or asking him to hang out while you work around the Valley. Hercules quickly became one of my favourite villagers to have following me around.

🎁 Hercules' Friendship Rewards

Hercules' friendship rewards stay wonderfully consistent with the mythology-inspired style introduced throughout the update. I was genuinely thrilled with what we received, and I keep feeling like each update somehow outdoes the last. Every friendship reward also feels thoughtfully designed, fitting perfectly within the Hercules furniture collection while giving you even more options to create grand temples, courtyards, and Ancient Greek-inspired builds.

Level 2: Herculean Wall Plates (Furniture item)
Level 3: Design Motif (Customisable)
Level 4: 500 Star Coins
Level 5: Hercules Trophy Pedestal (Furniture item)
Level 6: Touch of Magic Material (Customisable)
Level 7: 1,000 Star Coins
Level 8: Hercules Statue (Furniture item)
Level 9: Design Motif (Customisable)
Level 10: Champion Flame (Furniture item | Quest locked)

Including the above listed level 10 reward, the following rewards are unlocked by completing Hercules' friendship quests, rather than simply reaching each friendship level:

⭐ Level 2: Phil's Grecian Urn (Furniture item)
⭐ Level 4: Marble Muse Statue (Furniture item)
⭐ Level 7: Olympian Cloud Crib (Furniture item)
⭐ Level 10: Azure Greek Helmet, Azure Greek Chestplate, Azure Riveted Battle Skirt, and Azure Greek Cloak (Clothing items)

You'll find these quest-locked rewards in the images below.

Hercules has easily become one of my favourite villagers in Dreamlight Valley, and that's probably no surprise considering how much I love the original movie. He's absolutely in my top five, and I think Gameloft did an incredible job capturing both his personality and his overall presence.

His animations are fantastic, especially the one where he catches the enormous boulder (which I'm sure you've already seen) before casually tossing it aside like it weighs nothing. Despite being one of Disney's strongest heroes, he never comes across as arrogant. Instead, he feels approachable, humble, and exactly how you'd hope Hercules would be.

I also absolutely love his house. Not only is it visually stunning on its own, but it pairs beautifully with the Hercules furniture introduced in the update - I know, I know... there I go again talking about the furniture, but I really was impressed with everything we got! Even though his house is currently sitting in my Valley, I already have plans to move it into Mythopia, where I think it'll become the centrepiece of one much larger Ancient Greek-inspired build.

Thanks for reading through today's Villager Overview! Hercules has now been added to the Villager Overview hub, and with Phil already in the collection, it's been so much fun revisiting one of my favourite Disney franchises, with only Hades now remaining. I can't wait to keep expanding the hub with even more characters throughout the year.

✨ Villager Overview: Phil

✨ This Villager Overview shines the spotlight on Phil from Hercules. Gruff, sarcastic, and never one to hand out compliments easily, Phil arrives in the Valley with the attitude of someone who's seen it all before. Beneath all the tough talk, though, is a loyal mentor who genuinely wants to see others succeed, and that balance makes him an enjoyable character to have around.

From unlocking him through the Hercules storyline to working through his friendship quests, Phil's story is filled with training, encouragement, and the occasional reality check. His personality stays true to the original film, making every interaction feel like you're being coached by a legend... whether you asked for it or not.

🔓 How To Unlock Phil
(Click on any image to enlarge)

Phil can be added to the Valley after unlocking the Hercules Realm and completing all realm quests. I love his home - its large and majestic, blending naturally into the Mythopia biomes in the Storybook Vale.

📜 Phil's Friendship Quests

Phil's friendship quests revolve around training, perseverance, and helping others reach their potential. There's plenty of humour throughout, but underneath it all is a character who genuinely wants to see those around him improve.

Here are Phil's friendship quests in order:

Level 2: Satyrical Theater
Level 4: An Unlikely Hero
Level 7: Sweet Sweet Retirement
Level 10: Coach's Commission

One thing I really appreciated about Phil's questline was how naturally it suited his character. Every objective felt like something he'd realistically ask you to do, making the whole experience feel cohesive from beginning to end.

As with every villager, you can increase Phil's friendship level through daily conversations, favourite gifts, completing quests, or asking him to hang out while you work around the Valley. I ended up giving Phil the timebending role, as I am looking to increase bonus Mist drops as I continue playing the game.

🎁 Phil's Friendship Rewards

Phil's friendship rewards stay wonderfully true to the Hercules theme, expanding on an already fantastic collection of furniture and decorative pieces introduced with the update. If you've been enjoying the Ancient Greek-inspired aesthetic, there's plenty here that fits seamlessly alongside existing items. There were also additional themed rewards to unlock as you complete Phil's friendship quests.

Level 2: Hero Training Targets (Furniture item)
Level 3: Design Motif (Customisable)
Level 4: 500 Star Coins
Level 5: Luxury Pegasus Fountain (Furniture item)
Level 6: Design Motif (Customisable)
Level 7: 1,000 Star Coins
Level 8: Rhodes Feet (Furniture item)
Level 9: Touch of Magic Material (Customisable)
Level 10: Sartorial Satyr Sandals (Clothing item | Quest locked)

Including the above listed level 10 reward, the following rewards are unlocked by completing Phil's friendship quests, rather than simply reaching each friendship level:

⭐ Level 2: Greek Stage, and Training Mannequin (Furniture items)
⭐ Level 4: Olympian Easy Chair, and Weight Training Set (Furniture items)
⭐ Level 7: NO COACHING Sign, and Philoctean Gate (Furniture items)
⭐ Level 10: Phil's Mosaic (Furniture item), Sartorial Satyr Horns, Sartorial Satyr Tan Armbands and Sartorial Satyr Outfit (Clothing items)

You'll find these quest-locked rewards in the images below.

Phil ended up being one of those characters I enjoyed more than I expected. He's constantly throwing around sarcastic remarks and acting like he's too old for all the chaos, but underneath that gruff exterior there's a mentor who genuinely cares about helping others succeed.

His animations also capture his personality brilliantly. Whether he's waving his arms around while making a point or marching confidently through the Valley, he feels like he walked straight out of Hercules. It's hard not to smile whenever you run into him.

One of my favourite parts of his friendship rewards was how well they expanded the Hercules furniture collection. The update already introduced some beautiful Greek-inspired pieces, and Phil's rewards build on that really nicely. They add even more options for themed builds, and it honestly makes me even more excited to see what Hercules himself will bring.

That wraps up this Villager Overview - thanks so much for reading! Phil has now been added to the Villager Overview hub, and I'll be continuing the Hercules collection next with Hercules himself. I'm looking forward to seeing how his story and friendship rewards compare to the legendary trainer who helped shape him.

✨ Premium Shop: Gilded Agora Bundle

✨ With how busy I've been with the latest update, I almost forgot to check the Premium Shop this week, and I’m so glad I didn’t because the Gilded Agora Bundle immediately caught my eye. As someone who loves the larger decorating kits, this one felt like an instant purchase for me. Not only does it fit perfectly alongside the Hercules update, but it also offers a fantastic foundation if you're looking to create grand plazas, gathering spaces, or themed areas especially within Mythopia.

The bundle includes five pieces, but they feel substantial enough to make a real impact when decorating. I’ve always found that these kits provide some of the best value in the Premium Shop because they give you multiple pieces to work with rather than a single decorative item. That extra flexibility makes it much easier to build an entire scene and really bring an idea to life.

What I love most about the Gilded Agora Bundle is how inspiring it feels. The moment I saw it, I started thinking about larger-scale projects and how I could incorporate it into Mythopia. It has that grand, classical style that instantly helps a space feel more established, while still leaving plenty of room to personalise the area around it. I haven't had a chance to fully experiment with it yet, but I already know it's going to be at the centre of a future build.

If you've been considering picking this one up, don't leave it too long. The Premium Shop refreshes soon, and this bundle won't be around forever. I'd hate to miss out on a kit like this, especially one that feels so perfectly matched to the current Hercules-inspired content. For me, this is easily one of the standout Premium Shop offerings of the week, and I can't wait to see what I can create with it. You can grab this one for 2,000 Moonstones.

📖 Premium Shop | 💰 2,000 Moonstones | 🏷️ Hercules

Includes:
Gilded Agora (Furniture Item)
Gilded Agora Pavilion (Furniture Item)
Gilded Agora Section (Furniture Item)
Gilded Agora External Corner (Furniture Item)
Gilded Agora Internal Corner (Furniture Item)

✨ Hidden Hercules Realm Quest Guide

✨ One of my favourite little surprises in the latest Disney Dreamlight Valley update is a hidden quest tucked away inside the new Hercules Realm. It's incredibly easy to walk straight past without realising it's there, but completing it rewards a unique furniture item that feels perfectly at home amongst the mythology-inspired scenery of Mythopia over in the Storybook Vale.

The quest revolves around finding five hidden drawings of the Muses scattered throughout the Hercules Realm. At first glance, they can blend into the environment, making them easy to miss while working through the main realm story.

To complete the quest, simply locate each Muse drawing and take a photo of it using Photo Mode. Every photograph restores the Muse to its original image and rewards you with a Vase Piece. Once all five Muses have been restored, you'll have everything needed to craft the final reward.

Where to Find the Five Muses

The first Muse can be found shortly after entering the realm. Go straight ahead, then take the path to the left and you'll spot it sitting on the side of the large stone block.

For the second Muse, head directly towards the pond that you see when you first enter the realm and follow the wall along the right-hand side. You'll find it on the left just before entering the wooded area.

The third Muse is hidden toward the back of the woods - follow the muddy path on the right-hand side before entering the woods. As you follow the path to the back of the woods you'll find the drawing waiting on your left.

The fourth Muse can be found along the path before crossing the log over the water. Head down the path and you'll spot it on the right-hand side.

Finally, the fifth Muse is located on the outside of the Parthenon, positioned on the far-left column before entering.

▶️ Need a visual walkthrough? You can check out my reel here.

Unlocking the Mythic Muses Vase

Each restored Muse rewards one Vase Piece. After collecting all five pieces, head to a Crafting Station and you'll be able to make the Mythic Muses Vase.

I really enjoy little hidden activities like this. They add another layer of exploration to the Hercules realm. If you've taken the time to look around rather than rushing straight through the main objectives, you'll be rewarded with a unique furniture piece at the end.

Another Bonus Hidden Crafting Recipe

There's also an additional hidden crafting recipe which can be unlocked through the Hercules Realm.

As you progress through the realm's quests, you'll come across coins and feathers scattered throughout two separate training challenges. These are optional to collect throughout each challenge, but in doing so, you're rewarded with a Broken Medallion Piece at the end of each challenge.

If you missed collecting the coins or feathers during the training challenges, you can head back to the starting line of each challenge and you can "Interact" with the starting point, allowing you to complete the challenge again from the start.

Collecting both Medallion pieces allows you to combine them into a special item - the Obstacle Course Plaque - which you can make at any Crafting Station.

I love these little bonus discoveries tucked away throughout the realm. They're completely optional, but they reward you for taking the time to explore beyond the main realm story and are one of the things I've enjoyed about the update so far.

The Realmweaver Mystery Continues

A small update I also wanted to share is related to the Realmweaver. With the Hercules update, a subtle change was made to the mysterious new door inside the Dream Castle. If you approach the door now, you'll have the option to interact with it, bringing up a new screen as shown in the above image.

The screen reveals that the door requires four unknown items before progressing further, although exactly what those items are remains a mystery for now. Though without spoiling too much, I was able to find one of the four items and transfer it into the door, which was actually reassuring to discover. It confirmed that any required quest items can be stored directly within the door itself rather than taking up storage space elsewhere. As someone who has previously spent too much time frantically searching through storage chests trying to remember where I placed an important quest item, I definitely appreciated this little detail. It's a small quality-of-life feature, but one that could save a lot of confusion as more of these mysterious items begin appearing throughout future updates.

While this is a small update relating to the Realmweaver, it's one that has me very curious about what's coming next. Where do you think this mysterious new door might lead? I'll be posting more on the Realmweaver as I progress through the story throughout the rest of the year.

As for me, I'm still working my way through Hercules and Phil's friendship quests, unlocking Star Path rewards, and exploring everything else included in A Hero's Journey. It's already shaping up to be one of my favourite updates of the year.

I hope you enjoyed today's Cozy Valley Journal. I'll be sharing a few new guides throughout the week. Before moving on to the new Hercules characters, I've decided to finish my Beauty and the Beast character overviews, so expect to see Gaston soon, along with a guide covering one of Olaf's newly added exhibition rooms.

✨ A Hero's Journey Update Arrives Tomorrow!

✨ The story in Dreamlight Valley continues in the next Disney Dreamlight Valley update - A Hero's Journey - arriving tomorrow and bringing with it a sense of epic adventure!

Gameloft, you have been so good to us. This update marks the third free content update of the year, and between all the teasers, developer updates, and patch notes, there seems to be no sign of content slowing down. With the update just around the corner, are you ready to go the distance?

This update introduces two new characters - Hercules and Phil - who you'll be able to unlock through the new Hercules Realm in the Dream Castle. There's plenty more arriving alongside them too, including a new Star Path, events, Premium Shop refreshes, and a range of quality-of-life improvements.

There is so much to look forward to - and that's just from what we've been shown so far.

From new characters, quests, and friendship rewards, to companions, events, and plenty of surprises still waiting to be discovered, A Hero's Journey already feels packed with new things to explore. The latest patch notes also revealed a range of quality-of-life improvements and bug fixes that have only made me more excited to jump in.

Personally, I can't wait to see all the new friendship rewards, discover what surprises are hidden throughout the Star Path, and explore the new furniture and clothing items that we all come to expect with each update. With all this and more on the way, what are you most excited for?

For me, the new characters are always the stars of the show. This update feels especially meaningful because I've been waiting for Hercules to arrive in Dreamlight Valley long before we got that first teaser in last year's roadmap. I'm also more intrigued to see how the Realmweaver storyline progresses in this update and discover more clues as to who or what could be waiting behind that mysterious door in the Dream Castle.

With A Hero's Journey arriving very soon, I've created a release time breakdown above for several major regions around the world. Since launch times vary depending on where you're playing from, hopefully this helps you plan your first adventure into the update. Whether you're planning to jump in the moment the update goes live or waiting until the end of your day, there isn't long left now.

For my timezone, the update graces me with its presence in the 11pm Australian (AEST) timeslot. As always, I'll have the game updating overnight so it's ready to play first thing on June 4, with a delicious double-shot coffee helping me power through the morning.

And yes... I'll absolutely be envious of everyone getting an eight-hour head start! ☕

Gameloft also recently released the patch notes for this update, which gave us some extra details on what to expect alongside the usual list of bug fixes.

A few highlights immediately stood out to me, including updated critter schedules, new Scrooge's Store items arriving weekly, and an overdue crafting improvement that stops the crafting menu from jumping back to the top after every item crafted - YES... thank you, Gameloft!

There's always something magical about the moments before a new update arrives in Dreamlight Valley. Even though the wait is almost over, these final hours can feel like a journey worthy of a true hero. I love that Gameloft continues to bring meaningful new content to the game every couple of months, giving us something fresh to look forward to throughout the year.

A Hero's Journey arrives tomorrow, and I'm excited to see how the game expands. Over the coming days and weeks, I'll be sharing more updates, guides, and plenty of cozy Valley adventures.

▶️ If you haven't already, be sure to check out my A Hero's Journey developer update recap video here.

✨ Thanks for joining me in today's entry. I hope you enjoy taking your first steps into A Hero's Journey and feel that familiar rush of excitement when you first load into your Valley.

If you're just as excited for this update as I am, be sure to stop by my socials over the coming days. I'll be sharing my adventures, guides, and discoveries from the update as we explore this next chapter together ⚡🏛️

✨ Next Update: A Hero's Journey Arrives June 3rd!

✨ Thinking back to last year’s developer showcase - where we first got a glimpse of a Hercules-themed update arriving in Summer 2026 - it’s hard to believe that moment is finally here. I still remember the excitement I felt seeing that roadmap teaser for the very first time, with each upcoming update somehow looking even more exciting than the last.

And now, just a few days ago, Gameloft officially confirmed that the final update teased on the latest free content roadmap, A Hero’s Journey, arrives June 3!

In today’s entry, I wanted to look back at all the teasers we’ve seen so far and share some thoughts on what may be coming with this update. Like most Dreamlight Valley updates, I never quite feel fully prepared for the surprises ahead - and I have a feeling this week will definitely be full of them.

As we get closer to the next update, we’re likely to see more reveals through the developer update video, including details on the next in-game event, Star Path, quality of life improvements, furniture, clothing, and more.

From everything teased so far, A Hero’s Journey already looks like it’s shaping up to be a fantastic update. Going back a few weeks, the first teaser from Gameloft arrived, asking about if we'd completed Pocahontas's quests.

“Wondering about the figure behind the mysterious door in the Dream Castle? Check your in-game mailbox for some raccoon snacks, and a hint about what’s coming next...”

Sure enough, after completing all of Pocahontas’ friendship quests, a mysterious message appeared: EPIC TROUBLE AHEAD (full message in image above). The message came from The Realmweaver - mentioned briefly in the Whispers of the Wind update and confirmed previously to be the start of a new story in Dreamlight Valley.

I’m really curious to see where this storyline leads and understanding the logo that has appeared on the new Dream Castle door ...adding further mystery and becoming such a major focus for me. If you haven't seen the door yet, completing Pocahontas's final friendship quest does trigger Merlin’s "A Tangled Web" quest, leading you directly to the mysterious new door hidden within the castle.

Not long after, Gameloft dropped another teaser - this time hinting at the next Star Path theme:

A new Star Path is on its way... can you guess the theme from these emojis?
🏛️⚡
⚔️🛡️
🐎🪽

These clues definitely point toward a mythology-inspired Star Path themed around Ancient Greece and Hercules, perfectly matching the overall feel of the update.

If I had to guess, I’d expect rewards inspired by Mount Olympus and the Greek Gods, along with Ancient Greece furniture, decorative pieces, Hercules-inspired fashion, and maybe even gladiator-style aesthetics. There’s also the possibility of something Pegasus-related - although we already have Pegasus as a mount through the Wishblossom Ranch DLC, so I’m curious to see how Gameloft approaches that here.

The teasers that followed only made the excitement grow even more - especially once it became clear just how close we were to the next update reveal.

“You know what they say… 50 is the new 40 💪

This has to be hinting toward a player level increase, which would likely mean new rewards for reaching higher levels - something I’d personally love to see in the game. Since I’ve been playing Dreamlight Valley for years, reaching level 40 happened a long time ago, so seeing some changes here would be really exciting.

One of the final teasers before the official reveal also confirmed that a brand-new Realm is arriving with the update. While this wasn’t entirely surprising - especially since the Pocahontas update didn’t introduce a new Realm - it’s still exciting to see a new one coming with the update. It also looks like we may be getting additional decorating space. Missing from the game are floating islands themed from the biomes in Storybook Vale and Wishblossom Ranch DLC's, is there a chance we could see one (or more) arrive in this update?

And of course, every update usually brings a fresh collection of furniture and clothing, whether from Scrooge's store, friendship rewards, the Star Path, or even the Premium Shop - I'm really looking forward to seeing what's in store!

There are only a few more days to go before Gameloft begins dropping even more teasers leading into the next release. If previous updates are anything to go by, we’ll likely get a closer look through preview videos and additional reveals very soon.

Bring on Hercules - I’ve genuinely been waiting for this moment ever since the latest free content roadmap teaser dropped last year. What are you most excited for so far? And do you think we’ll get a brand-new free content roadmap before the next update? ⚡
