✨ Pixel Perfect Update Arrives Tomorrow!

It's time for another free content update in Disney Dreamlight Valley, and this time we welcome Ralph in the Pixel Perfect update arriving tomorrow!

While Ralph isn't one of my favourite Disney characters, I'm still just as excited for this update because every free content update breathes new life into the Valley and gives us plenty to explore. This marks the fourth free content update we've received this year, and it's come around incredibly quickly. Normally there's around six-eight weeks between updates, but with Honeyglow Woods previously arriving on July 8, it feels like I've barely had time to catch my breath!

This update introduces Ralph, although he won't be arriving through a Realm. Instead, the chaos begins with a broken Arcade Machine that you'll need to repair before welcoming him into your Valley - and hopefully bringing a smile to Vanellope's face along the way. I do hope unlocking Ralph feels like a rewarding adventure rather than a quick quest.

Alongside Ralph, Pixel Perfect also introduces the Pop City Star Path, three limited-time events, a fresh rotation of Premium Shop items, and a collection of quality-of-life improvements. From everything Gameloft has shared in last week's developer update videos, I'm especially hoping the Fantasia Broom Companion arrives in this week's Premium Shop. I'm also really looking forward to the new Parks Floating Festival event, even though it doesn't begin until August 19.

What are you most excited for? Personally, one of my favourite moments with every update is opening the Star Path for the very first time and browsing through all the rewards. I'm also curious to see how the Realmweaver story continues and what role it might play in Pixel Perfect's update.

Pixel Perfect arrives in just a few hours, and as always, I've put together my usual release time graphic for a selection of regions around the world. Release times will vary depending on where you're playing from, so hopefully it helps you plan when the chaos begins... in the most organised way possible. Here in Australia, the update arrives at 11:00 PM (AEST), so I'll be letting everything download overnight before jumping into the update bright and early on July 30 with my usual espresso coffee ready to go.

One thing I always look forward to before a new update is the official Patch Notes. As always, Gameloft has released them ahead of launch, giving us a closer look at what's arriving, along with a list of bug fixes and quality-of-life improvements.

The standout addition for me has to be the new 'Edit Mode Quick Save' feature. You'll now be able to save your decorating progress while still inside Furniture Mode, which is something I've wanted for a long time. Previously, you had to completely exit Furniture Mode before your Valley build progress would save, and on the odd occasion I'd lose progress if something went wrong. Knowing I can now save while decorating is such a welcome improvement.

If you own the Storybook Vale expansion, you'll also be able to unlock three brand-new Floating Islands, giving us even more space to decorate and create more builds. If you'd like to read through everything included, you can find the full Patch Notes on the official Disney Dreamlight Valley website.

Pixel Perfect also introduces a brand-new Twitch Drop, available from July 29 at 9:00 AM EDT until August 5 at 9:00 AM EDT. This Twitch offer rewards you with "Ralph's Red Brick Bed" by watching participating Disney Dreamlight Valley Twitch streams. If you're new to Twitch Drops, don't worry - you'll first need to link your Twitch account with your Disney Dreamlight Valley account through the official Dreamlight Valley Twitch Drops page. Once everything is connected, simply watch a participating creator for 60 minutes, claim the reward through Twitch, and the item should arrive in your in-game mailbox shortly afterwards. You'll also find the full list of participating creators on the Dreamlight Valley official website where you link your accounts together.

▶️ If you'd like a quick recap before the update arrives, you can also check out my Pixel Perfect update video here.

✨ Thanks for joining me in today's Cozy Valley Journal entry. I hope you have an amazing time welcoming Ralph into your Valley and enjoy that familiar feeling of loading into a brand-new update for the first time.

If you're just as excited as I am, be sure to stop by my socials over the next few days. I'll be sharing guides, discoveries, and plenty of Pixel Perfect moments as I explore everything this update has to offer together.

✨ A Hero's Journey Update Arrives Tomorrow!

✨ The story in Dreamlight Valley continues in the next Disney Dreamlight Valley update - A Hero's Journey - arriving tomorrow and bringing with it a sense of epic adventure!

Gameloft, you have been so good to us. This update marks the third free content update of the year, and between all the teasers, developer updates, and patch notes, there seems to be no sign of content slowing down. With the update just around the corner, are you ready to go the distance?

This update introduces two new characters - Hercules and Phil - who you'll be able to unlock through the new Hercules Realm in the Dream Castle. There's plenty more arriving alongside them too, including a new Star Path, events, Premium Shop refreshes, and a range of quality-of-life improvements.

There is so much to look forward to - and that's just from what we've been shown so far.

From new characters, quests, and friendship rewards, to companions, events, and plenty of surprises still waiting to be discovered, A Hero's Journey already feels packed with new things to explore. The latest patch notes also revealed a range of quality-of-life improvements and bug fixes that have only made me more excited to jump in.

Personally, I can't wait to see all the new friendship rewards, discover what surprises are hidden throughout the Star Path, and explore the new furniture and clothing items that we all come to expect with each update. With all this and more on the way, what are you most excited for?

For me, the new characters are always the stars of the show. This update feels especially meaningful because I've been waiting for Hercules to arrive in Dreamlight Valley long before we got that first teaser in last year's roadmap. I'm also more intrigued to see how the Realmweaver storyline progresses in this update and discover more clues as to who or what could be waiting behind that mysterious door in the Dream Castle.

With A Hero's Journey arriving very soon, I've created a release time breakdown above for several major regions around the world. Since launch times vary depending on where you're playing from, hopefully this helps you plan your first adventure into the update. Whether you're planning to jump in the moment the update goes live or waiting until the end of your day, there isn't long left now.

For my timezone, the update graces me with its presence in the 11pm Australian (AEST) timeslot. As always, I'll have the game updating overnight so it's ready to play first thing on June 4, with a delicious double-shot coffee helping me power through the morning.

And yes... I'll absolutely be envious of everyone getting an eight-hour head start! ☕

Gameloft also recently released the patch notes for this update, which gave us some extra details on what to expect alongside the usual list of bug fixes.

A few highlights immediately stood out to me, including updated critter schedules, new Scrooge's Store items arriving weekly, and an overdue crafting improvement that stops the crafting menu from jumping back to the top after every item crafted - YES... thank you, Gameloft!

There's always something magical about the moments before a new update arrives in Dreamlight Valley. Even though the wait is almost over, these final hours can feel like a journey worthy of a true hero. I love that Gameloft continues to bring meaningful new content to the game every couple of months, giving us something fresh to look forward to throughout the year.

A Hero's Journey arrives tomorrow, and I'm excited to see how the game expands. Over the coming days and weeks, I'll be sharing more updates, guides, and plenty of cozy Valley adventures.

▶️ If you haven't already, be sure to check out my A Hero's Journey developer update recap video here.

✨ Thanks for joining me in today's entry. I hope you enjoy taking your first steps into A Hero's Journey and feel that familiar rush of excitement when you first load into your Valley.

If you're just as excited for this update as I am, be sure to stop by my socials over the coming days. I'll be sharing my adventures, guides, and discoveries from the update as we explore this next chapter together ⚡🏛️

✨ A Hero's Journey: Patch Notes Released!

With just a few days to go until the next update, Gameloft has released the full Patch Notes as scheduled.

In today's entry, I'll be highlighting the biggest standouts from the article, along with a few extra details that weren't covered during last week's developer update. I always enjoy reading through the patch notes because they often reveal little surprises and provide extra context around what's coming to the game, making the wait for the update even more exciting.

New Content Highlights

⭐ The New Content section covers much of what was already announced, including a new Realm, the arrival of Hercules and Phil, a brand-new Star Path, two seasonal events, and plenty of new items in the Premium Shop. Also confirmed for the first time are new clothing and furniture items arriving in Scrooge's Store throughout the update.

⭐ One detail that immediately caught my attention was a reference to the Realmweaver. While it was only mentioned briefly, it's the first time the character has been referenced since the update was confirmed, adding another layer of mystery to the ongoing story.

⭐ The patch notes also reveal a few more rewards from the upcoming Star Path, including the Mythical Cloud Glider, Pink Baby Pegasus, Hercules' Divine Glow Dream Style, and the Olympian Cloud Mansion.

⭐ Another interesting addition is Gameloft's confirmation that new clothing and furniture items will arrive in Scrooge's Store each week. My guess is this is designed to spread out the new inventory over several weeks rather than making everything available immediately. That approach makes a lot of sense. During the Whispers of the Wind update, I managed to purchase every new clothing item within the first week. While that sounds impressive, most of those items ended up sitting unused in my collection. A gradual rollout should help keep the store feeling fresh throughout the update and making returning visits feel more rewarding.

Quality-of-Life Improvements

The Improvements section contains several quality-of-life updates that could have a surprisingly big impact on everyday gameplay.

⭐ DreamSnaps voting will now feature unlimited skips, removing the limit on how many photos you can pass during voting sessions.

⭐ The new Decoration Preset feature also has some additional details.

As revealed last week, you will be able to save decorated sections of your Valley and quickly copy, move, or restore those designs later. What stood out to me in the patch notes was how the system handles missing items. If you don't own enough of a particular item when placing a saved preset, the game will create a placeholder that can be interacted with to purchase or craft the missing pieces directly from the build. That sounds incredibly convenient and is definitely one of the features I'm most excited to test when the update launches.

⭐ Olaf's Grand Exhibition is receiving two additional rooms: Forest of Valor and Glade of Trust. I really enjoyed completing the first two exhibition rooms and collecting their rewards, so I'm looking forward to diving into these new additions and seeing what challenges and collectibles they bring.

⭐ Photo Mode is receiving some attention in this update.

We already knew about new villager poses and the ability to pause villagers while taking photos, but the patch notes also mention improvements to the long-range free camera mode. While details are limited, it sounds like you'll have greater flexibility when framing screenshots and creating DreamSnaps. For anyone who spends time decorating or participating in DreamSnaps, this could end up being one of the most valuable updates in the patch.

⭐ One feature I'm personally very happy to see is the player level increase.

After being teased several weeks ago and officially confirmed during last week's update showcase, we're finally getting an extra ten levels, raising the maximum level from 40 to 50. This alone gives me a reason to start working through a few more daily quests, particularly those from Remy. Even better, leveling up will reward you with brand-new clothing and furniture items, providing a little extra motivation to continue progressing.

⭐ Another noteworthy improvement involves Scrooge's Store inventory.

Gameloft says they've adjusted the system to improve the appearance of new items and create more variety between stores in the base game and DLC. In theory, this should increase your chances of seeing new items from day to day. I'm particularly curious to see how this works alongside the recently introduced Vault Rewards. During the current Star Path, I was surprised to receive two furniture pieces I'd never seen before, despite checking Scrooge's Store regularly. If there are still hidden items waiting to appear, this update could make collecting them much easier.

⭐ One of the most welcome surprises in the patch notes is the update to select critter schedules.

While this change doesn't personally affect my collection, it's a frustration I've only recently realised affects far more players than I first thought. Certain critters have historically appeared during very limited time windows, making them difficult to catch on time.

With the new schedule adjustments, several critters will now be available for an entire day rather than only a few hours. This should give you far more opportunities to feed them and hopefully add them to your collection sooner without needing to log in at unusual times. You can find the full list of schedule changes in the image above.

⭐ The patch notes conclude with a lengthy list of bug fixes, but there's one in particular that deserves a special mention. The crafting menu will no longer scroll back to the top after crafting an item! Honestly, this is one of those small fixes that feels huge. I've dealt with this issue for so long that having to scroll back down after every single craft became frustrating, especially during larger crafting sessions. It may not be the flashiest change in the update, but it's absolutely one that will improve the overall gameplay experience.

Overall, this update is shaping up to be a strong mix of new content and meaningful quality-of-life improvements. While Hercules, the new Realm, and the Star Path will naturally grab most of the attention, some of these behind-the-scenes improvements could end up having the biggest impact on day-to-day gameplay.

If you'd like to read the complete patch notes and full list of bug fixes from Gameloft, be sure to check out the official article.

What stands out most to you from these patch notes? Is there a particular change you're looking forward to trying when the update arrives?

✨ Next Update: A Hero's Journey Arrives June 3rd!

✨ Thinking back to last year’s developer showcase - where we first got a glimpse of a Hercules-themed update arriving in Summer 2026 - it’s hard to believe that moment is finally here. I still remember the excitement I felt seeing that roadmap teaser for the very first time, with each upcoming update somehow looking even more exciting than the last.

And now, just a few days ago, Gameloft officially confirmed that the final update teased on the latest free content roadmap, A Hero’s Journey, arrives June 3!

In today’s entry, I wanted to look back at all the teasers we’ve seen so far and share some thoughts on what may be coming with this update. Like most Dreamlight Valley updates, I never quite feel fully prepared for the surprises ahead - and I have a feeling this week will definitely be full of them.

As we get closer to the next update, we’re likely to see more reveals through the developer update video, including details on the next in-game event, Star Path, quality of life improvements, furniture, clothing, and more.

From everything teased so far, A Hero’s Journey already looks like it’s shaping up to be a fantastic update. Going back a few weeks, the first teaser from Gameloft arrived, asking about if we'd completed Pocahontas's quests.

“Wondering about the figure behind the mysterious door in the Dream Castle? Check your in-game mailbox for some raccoon snacks, and a hint about what’s coming next...”

Sure enough, after completing all of Pocahontas’ friendship quests, a mysterious message appeared: EPIC TROUBLE AHEAD (full message in image above). The message came from The Realmweaver - mentioned briefly in the Whispers of the Wind update and confirmed previously to be the start of a new story in Dreamlight Valley.

I’m really curious to see where this storyline leads and understanding the logo that has appeared on the new Dream Castle door ...adding further mystery and becoming such a major focus for me. If you haven't seen the door yet, completing Pocahontas's final friendship quest does trigger Merlin’s "A Tangled Web" quest, leading you directly to the mysterious new door hidden within the castle.

Not long after, Gameloft dropped another teaser - this time hinting at the next Star Path theme:

A new Star Path is on its way... can you guess the theme from these emojis?
🏛️⚡
⚔️🛡️
🐎🪽

These clues definitely point toward a mythology-inspired Star Path themed around Ancient Greece and Hercules, perfectly matching the overall feel of the update.

If I had to guess, I’d expect rewards inspired by Mount Olympus and the Greek Gods, along with Ancient Greece furniture, decorative pieces, Hercules-inspired fashion, and maybe even gladiator-style aesthetics. There’s also the possibility of something Pegasus-related - although we already have Pegasus as a mount through the Wishblossom Ranch DLC, so I’m curious to see how Gameloft approaches that here.

The teasers that followed only made the excitement grow even more - especially once it became clear just how close we were to the next update reveal.

“You know what they say… 50 is the new 40 💪

This has to be hinting toward a player level increase, which would likely mean new rewards for reaching higher levels - something I’d personally love to see in the game. Since I’ve been playing Dreamlight Valley for years, reaching level 40 happened a long time ago, so seeing some changes here would be really exciting.

One of the final teasers before the official reveal also confirmed that a brand-new Realm is arriving with the update. While this wasn’t entirely surprising - especially since the Pocahontas update didn’t introduce a new Realm - it’s still exciting to see a new one coming with the update. It also looks like we may be getting additional decorating space. Missing from the game are floating islands themed from the biomes in Storybook Vale and Wishblossom Ranch DLC's, is there a chance we could see one (or more) arrive in this update?

And of course, every update usually brings a fresh collection of furniture and clothing, whether from Scrooge's store, friendship rewards, the Star Path, or even the Premium Shop - I'm really looking forward to seeing what's in store!

There are only a few more days to go before Gameloft begins dropping even more teasers leading into the next release. If previous updates are anything to go by, we’ll likely get a closer look through preview videos and additional reveals very soon.

Bring on Hercules - I’ve genuinely been waiting for this moment ever since the latest free content roadmap teaser dropped last year. What are you most excited for so far? And do you think we’ll get a brand-new free content roadmap before the next update? ⚡

Thanks for joining me in today’s Cozy Valley Journal entry! If you’d like to follow along as more teasers and update details are revealed, you can find all my socials linked on the side of the page where I’ll be sharing more guides, update coverage, and cozy Valley content very soon.

✨ The Whispers of the Wind Update Arrives Tomorrow!

✨ A new chapter begins in the Valley with the next Disney Dreamlight Valley update - Whispers of the Wind - arriving tomorrow, and it’s bringing a whole new sense of calm, curiosity, and adventure with it.

From the very first teaser, this update has felt different. Like the Valley is about to tell a quieter, more meaningful story - one that invites you to slow down and take it all in. And now, with the release just around the corner, the excitement is only getting stronger.

With Pocahontas officially joining the Valley, Whispers of the Wind is bringing an entire range of new features. This update isn’t just about what’s being added - it’s also about how it feels to step into it. And every time a new update drops, that sense of excitement is always real.

With so much included - from new story content and quests, to companions, events, and Star Path content - there’s a lot to look forward to. What are you most excited for in this update?

While Pocahontas is the star of this update, a close second for me is the new story arriving through the mysterious door in the Dream Castle… and what lies beyond it.

Whispers of the Wind drops very soon, with release times varying depending on your region. I’ve shared a breakdown below to help you plan your start time - whether you’re logging in first thing or saving it for a cozy session later in the day. For me, the update falls into the 11pm Australian (EST) timeslot... so I'll have the game updating overnight, ready for gameplay nice and early on April 9! I’m definitely a little envious of those who get to jump in right as it goes live.

The Dreamlight Valley team also recently released this update’s patch notes, giving us a bit more insight into what’s coming, along with a range of bug fixes for issues that have been affecting some players. The patch notes also mention new clothing items arriving in Scrooge’s store with this update, as well as a new set of furniture items (super yay!) becoming available once Pocahontas officially joins your Valley.

There’s something really special about that moment when an update becomes available - logging in for the first time, seeing the new artwork on the loading screen... it makes the Valley feel brand new again, even if you’ve been playing for months.

With Whispers of the Wind arriving tomorrow, this feels like the beginning of a fresh chapter - not just for the game, but for how the Valley continues to grow. I’ll be sharing more as everything unfolds, including deeper looks at the update, guides, and upcoming content.

▶️ If you’re getting ready for launch, you can check out my Whispers of the Wind developer update recap video here, along with a separate video on how to prep for the update here.

✨ Thanks for joining me in today’s entry. I hope you enjoy stepping into Whispers of the Wind and everything it brings to your Valley.

If you’d like to keep up with everything as it unfolds, you can find all my socials linked on the side - feel free to join in on the update fun as I post along. I’ll be sharing updates, guides, and more very soon! 🍂

✨ Next Update: Whispers of the Wind Arrives April 8th!

The next free content update for Disney Dreamlight Valley, titled Whispers of the Wind, arrives on April 8 - and it’s shaping up to be one of the most exciting updates yet. In today’s entry, I’ll go over some of the details revealed in this week’s developer updates.

This update introduces a new character, companions, story content, features, and limited-time events - with so much to look forward to. Let's get into it!

Pocahontas Arrives in the Valley

One of the biggest highlights of this update is the arrival of Pocahontas. I’m especially intrigued by how she enters the Valley - she doesn’t have her own Realm, yet her arrival is tied to a brand new area added to the game. You’ll unlock her with the help of another villager, following swirling leaves to a magical new island. Along the way, you’ll complete special Memories before welcoming her into your Valley. It’ll be interesting to see how this all unfolds.

Pocahontas will come with her own house, friendship quests, and rewards. Meeko is also coming along, and my guess is he’ll be tied to one of her friendship quests to unlock him.

A Brand New Mystery Story Begins

Whispers of the Wind also marks the start of a brand new storyline. From what Gameloft has teased, this appears to begin inside the Dream Castle, where a mysterious new door has appeared - hinting at a deeper narrative to come. Another layer of mystery added to the Valley, and my curiosity is definitely peaked.

Elements of Nature Star Path & Vault Feature

A new Star Path titled Elements of Nature will be available, bringing a fresh set of themed rewards. I’m not entirely sure how I feel about this theme just yet, but I’m happy to wait and see the full set before judging.

Alongside this, a new Vault feature is being introduced, allowing you to earn select rewards from previous Star Paths by completing routine duties - a welcome addition if you missed out before. For those who already own these items though - myself included - I’m curious to see what additional value or surprises this feature might bring.

Premium Shop Additions & Limited-Time Events

The Premium Shop will also receive a range of new items, including Swirling Wind Leaves, a new skin design for Goofy’s Stall and the Wishing Well, and another surprise companion… Percy. I’m sure there will be a few extra surprises mixed into the weekly rotation as well.

Two events have also been confirmed as part of this update. The first is a spring-themed Floating Festival begins on April 29 - and while the floating island concept returns, the event theme itself is new. I love the idea of expanding these seasonal events into something more visually unique.

The second event is the return of the Treasure Hunt on May 27, which from memory is a smaller event - but still a fun one to revisit.

Olaf’s Grand Exhibition

One of the biggest new features coming with this update is Olaf’s Grand Exhibition - and this was something I did not expect at all.

When I first saw the teaser of Olaf’s building, I genuinely thought it might have been leading into an April Fools joke - so I’m very glad that wasn’t the case. And after seeing what's coming, this feature has definitely exceeded my expectations.

From what I've seen so far, this new hub will allow you to showcase items you’ve collected across different biomes in the Valley. Each biome will have its own dedicated space, designed to highlight your progress and collections. At launch, two rooms will be available - Peaceful Meadow and Dazzle Beach - with more rooms expected to be added over time.

Each space will require repairs before becoming fully functional, and completing these will reward you with new items. This looks like it could become a long-term progression system, giving you a meaningful way to display your collections -  and I’m really looking forward to seeing how it evolves.

Quality of Life Improvements

The update also introduces improvements to the crafting and uncrafting table menus, including search functionality and filter options. These changes should make crafting much faster and easier to manage. As someone who prefers visual organisation, I’d still love to see sub-tabs added in the future - separating base Valley items and DLC content - just to make browsing even smoother.

With April 8 just around the corner, now is the perfect time to get ready. Based on a recent teaser from Gameloft, some of the best ways to prepare include unlocking the Moana Realm, unlocking the Forest of Valor biome, tidying your Valley to make space for new friends, and completing your current Star Path rewards. You can check out my prep video guide here.

It’s also worth keeping in mind that the Eggstravaganza event is currently active in the Valley until April 21 - so there’s plenty happening at the moment. You can check out my Eggstravaganza event egg guide here.

What are you most excited for in this update?

From a new character arrival style, to a brand new story, and a completely unexpected feature like Olaf’s Grand Exhibition - this update is bringing a lot of fresh content to the Valley. April 8 can’t come fast enough.

Thanks for reading along - be sure to check back soon for more entries. I’ve got an Eggstravaganza rewards guide, a Moana overview, and more update coverage on the way.

✨ The Puppy Love Update Arrives Tomorrow!

The next Disney Dreamlight Valley update, Puppy Love, is almost here - and it’s shaping up to be one of the coziest updates yet. With romance in the air and new adventures waiting to be discovered, this update brings new characters, a brand-new realm, and plenty to look forward to in the Valley.

If you’ve been counting down alongside me, the wait is nearly over. To help you get ready, I’ve put together a release time guide so you know exactly when Puppy Love goes live in your region. The time will vary depending on where you’re playing from, so be sure to check the visual above for your local time. Being from Australia means I'll be joining you in the game February 12 (which is my local time) at around 8am, with a nice cup of coffee! Though whether you’re planning a late-night login or a cozy morning start, it’s the perfect excuse to settle in and explore what’s new as soon as the update drops.

This update introduces two new characters and a brand-new realm to explore, each bringing their own quests, stories, and friendship rewards. A new in-game event - Valley Valentines - also debuts with this update. I’ll be sharing more artwork and details about this event soon, so keep an eye out and be sure to check back after the update is released, as I’ll be sharing more updates, visuals and cozy guides.

Thanks for joining me in today’s entry. I hope you enjoy the Puppy Love update and all the cozy moments it brings to your Valley. I’ll see you in the next Cozy Valley Journal entry.

✨ Next Update: Puppy Love Arrives February 11th!

The Puppy Love update is the first free content update of the year in Disney Dreamlight Valley, arriving on February 11, and it’s shaping up to be a cozy one - especially for fans of Lady and the Tramp.

This update introduces two new characters from the Disney classic, unlocked through a brand-new realm with fresh adventures to complete before welcoming them into the Valley. Once they arrive, you can look forward to new friendship quests, rewards, and a charming new villager home.

Alongside the new characters, the update brings the Paw-Fect Romance Star Path, featuring themed rewards inspired by love and cozy Valentine vibes. A few items teased in the trailer are already standing out as perfect additions for decorating and seasonal builds.

The Premium Shop is also getting a seasonal refresh with the Spring Cherry Blossom set, offering a soft new look for familiar structures like the Dream Castle, Goofy’s Stall, the Valley Visit Station and more. I can't wait to see what other new items the Premium Shop has to offer.

This update also includes three limited-time events:

Valley Valentines
Event (February 11-25): a brand-new event coming to the Valley that focuses on completing daily quests by gathering items for the Valleys "most iconic sweethearts", all in exchange for exclusive rewards.

The
Lucky You! Event (March 11-17): A returning event that allows you to earn both existing and new rewards.

Eggstravaganza
Event (April 1): Another returning seasonal event, with a new egg colour and a variety of new rewards to collect.

One of the most exciting quality-of-life improvements arriving with this update is the ability to select and move multiple items at once in Furniture Mode, making decorating and reorganising builds faster and far less frustrating.

I’ll be covering the Puppy Love update in more detail once it goes live, including guides, rewards, tips, and event information.

✨ Every Character Introduced to Disney Dreamlight Valley in 2025

New Disney Characters Added to Dreamlight Valley in 2025

2025 was a truly memorable year for Disney Dreamlight Valley, bringing one of the most exciting and character-filled lineups the game has seen so far. Across free updates and major DLC releases, the Valley continued to grow, evolve, and feel more alive than ever. Let’s take a look back at all the characters who joined the game throughout the year.

The year began strong with
Aladdin and Jasmine, opening the door to new adventures inspired by Agrabah. Not long after, the Valley took a whimsical turn with Alice and the Cheshire Cat, whose arrival added a touch of Wonderland magic and playful mystery. These two updates were the biggest of the free content updates of the year, in my opinion, and also bringing with them two massive new realms to explore.

Next came a long-awaited moment for many players (myself included) -
Peter Pan, alongside the long-teased entrance to Skull Rock, which finally made its debut. This update felt especially significant, tying together lingering story threads that we all had been speculating about for quite some time.

The story deepened further with
Part Two of the Storybook Vale DLC, introducing Aurora and Maleficent. Their arrival expanded the narrative in a meaningful way, blending classic fairy-tale charm with darker, more dramatic storytelling.

Mid-year brought an emotional shift with
Joy and Sadness from Inside Out, adding a unique dynamic to the Valley and reminding us that Dreamlight Valley continues to explore new tones and themes. This update also brought a new realm to the Dream Castle (the third new realm of the year). Later updates welcomed Lumière and Cogsworth, bringing even more life to the Beauty and the Beast realm and I was certainly delighted with their iconic personalities.

One of the biggest highlights of the year was no doubt
The Wishblossom Ranch DLC, which delivered an impressive lineup of characters: Snow White, Cruella De Vil, Tigger, and Tinker Bell. This DLC also introduced mounts for the first time, including Maximus, Khan, and Pegasus, with Sven arriving as a special exclusive mount - a huge moment for customisation and fast exploration.

The year wrapped up beautifully with the most anticipated
Cinderella, a fitting addition that tied into the game’s cozy, fairy-tale roots and closed out 2025.

Of course all these characters came with their quests, friendship rewards, and a few new surprises (getting Magic Carpet as a companion was my favourite!) Alongside these character releases, we also enjoyed several standout
Star Paths, each packed with themed rewards and decorations that helped shape the Valley’s evolving look throughout the year.

With such a packed 2025 behind us, it’s exciting to look ahead to 2026. Based on last year’s developer updates, we already know there’s plenty to be excited about - including

✨ The Winter Ball Update Arrives Tomorrow!

Today’s entry covers the next update in Disney Dreamlight Valley! ❄️ The Winter Ball update drops tomorrow, bringing Cinderella, a new Star Path, events, and more! I am so ready for the magic, the sparkle, and all the cozy new surprises. Who else is counting down? 🎄

Every update truly feels like one of those milestone moments in the Valley - the kind that reshapes your daily routine, your decorating plans, and even how you explore. With Cinderella stepping into the spotlight, a brand-new Star Path to grind through, and a full lineup of limited-time events, tomorrow marks the start of a very busy (and very sparkly) season.

To help with the current update release time, I’ve outlined a few time zones in the photo below for The Winter Ball update drop so you can be ready to download as soon as it becomes available! Noting Australia and New Zealand will receive the update as the date rolls into December 11. As an Aussie, I’ll be joining you all in the chaos about eight hours after the update releases - and like previously, a double-shot coffee will come first to perk me up! Whether you’re playing in Australia, the US, Europe, or elsewhere, I’m hoping I have you covered.

I still can’t believe Cinderella is finally coming to the game, and I’m surprised it’s taken this long, especially after being teased with her appearance in the game’s original trailer from years ago. In my latest video, I recap last week’s developer update - covering Cinderella’s arrival, the Winter Warmth Star Path, upcoming events, and quality-of-life improvements coming to the game. I’m also hopeful this update will seamlessly blend Cinderella’s story, fashion, and furniture items into the game, just like many previous updates have done.

I can’t wait to dive into this update and check out all the new rewards in the upcoming Star Path! The update will also continue to keep us busy with two in-game seasonal events: The Gift of Giving Event running from December 7 through to December 31, and The Winter Floating Festival beginning January 7 until January 28. In between… be sure to hop on December 25 to claim a special reward in the Dream Castle!

If you’re anything like me, tonight feels like that quiet-before-the-storm moment: inventory cleared out, tasks wrapped up (and Night Thorns left to destroy the Valley in preparation for Star Path duties 😅), and plans already forming for tomorrow’s grind. There’s something extra cozy about knowing a big update is waiting to be downloaded!

✨ Next Update: The Winter Ball Arrives December 10th!

📰 I can hardly believe it - it only seems like yesterday that I first walked into Wishblossom Ranch (with still plenty left to do there), and now the Winter Ball update for Dreamlight Valley drops next week on December 10! While I’m hopeful to get some new Christmas-themed furniture pieces as more sneak peeks roll out later in the week, the update is still shaping up to be everything I’ve been waiting for - and it looks like it’ll keep me busy in the Valley well beyond the next few weeks!

First off - yes, “the one we’ve been waiting for”: Cinderella is finally arriving! She’s locked behind a magical pumpkin enchantment, and it looks like the Fairy Godmother will need our help to break through it. I can't wait to unlock Cinderella, dive into her Friendship Quests (including a grand Valley-wide Friendship Ball!), and earn new friendship rewards along the way

But that’s not all. Like all previous free content updates, this one isn’t shy about bringing us a brand-new Star Path: the Winter Warmth Star Path! I can’t wait to jump into fresh tasks and start earning the new winter-themed rewards this season brings - including a cute new companion, the Festive Baby Pegasus! It also looks like we’ll be getting a “Cinderella Mega Bundle” in the Premium Shop, with new Dream Styles for both Cinderella and the Fairy Godmother, along with a few other surprises

One thing I’m really intrigued by is the new community-style feature: DreamTeams. Finally - a way to link up with friends (up to seven!), trade items, and share resources. It feels like the perfect excuse to gather your pals for some holiday fun, and I can’t wait to test out all the features that come with this new in-game experience

And if you’ve ever dreaded spending your Star Coins only to regret it later - good news! Scrooge McDuck is making some changes this season with a return policy: you’ll now be able to sell back unwanted furniture items for their original Star Coin price. Plus, new sorting, filtering, and search options in the shop make inventory management a breeze. This is huge, and I’m sure most of us have been wanting this incredibly helpful feature for a long time! ✨

Finally… there are two limited-time events to watch out for:

The Gift of Giving Event (Dec. 17–31): revisit last year’s festive achievements, earn all-new rewards, and log in on December 25 for a special holiday surprise (can be claimed until December 31)
The Winter Floating Festival (Jan. 7–28, 2026): weekly puzzles, floating-island vibes, and more seasonal goodies to round out the winter celebrations. I was particularly excited about the Halloween Floating Festival, so I’m thrilled that something similar is returning for the winter season!

Be sure to check back for all future updates surrounding the Winter Ball update, the new Star Path and, of course, the seasonal events!

❄️ So yep - I’m counting down the days until December 10. A new character to meet, new furniture items to unlock, cozy snow days to savour, and maybe even a shiny new community with friends. What could be more magical?

Thanks for catching up with me in today’s journal entry! 📖
