✨ Dreamlight Valley Free Content Updates & 2027 Roadmap

Dreamlight Valley next free content update Lilo 'Ohana Holidays December 9

✨ The recent Dreamlight Valley Developer Showcase brought us so much new information and plenty of surprises! One of the highlights was the free content update roadmap for the first half of 2027, and I was absolutely thrilled about one update in particular! 👀 While none of the characters have been officially confirmed just yet, it’s always exciting to get a glimpse of what might be coming next to Dreamlight Valley and start making predictions!

Of course, before 2027 kicks off, there is still one more free content update to look forward to this year! The ‘Ohana Holidays update arrives on December 9 and will bring Lilo to the Valley 🌺

Dreamlight Valley free content update 2027 roadmap Cinderella Prince Charming Princess and the Frog Prince Naveen

The first update of 2027 is scheduled for Early 2027, and my guess would be sometime around February. The roadmap teases the arrival of TWO PRINCES! 👑 This one genuinely took me by surprise - not only are we getting two new male characters, but two PRINCES at that! From the teaser image, my guesses are Prince Charming and Prince Naveen. And while I’m excited to see who joins the Valley, I’m also hoping this brings a good selection of new male clothing options with it! 🤞

Dreamlight Valley free content update 2027 roadmap Kronk Yzma The Emperor's New Groove

The next update is scheduled for Spring 2027, and this is one I absolutely CANNOT wait for! The Emperor’s New Groove is one of my favourite Disney movies, easily making my top five, so seeing this franchise come to Dreamlight Valley is an absolute dream! I’m already looking forward to the shenanigans of Yzma and Kronk in the Valley, as these are the two characters I’m expecting to see arrive with this update. Just imagine the chaos those two could get up to! 😂

Dreamlight Valley free content update 2027 roadmap Pixar Up Carl Fredricksen

And the final teaser takes us to Summer 2027, with what appears to be Up! It’s been a while since we’ve had some new Pixar characters join the Valley, so I’m really curious to see what this update has in store. I’d love to see how they bring the heart and adventure of Up into the game, and I can already imagine the decorating possibilities if we get some themed furniture and items inspired by the movie! 🎈🏡

2027 is already looking so promising for Dreamlight Valley, and these are only the first few updates on the roadmap! ✨

✨ Dreamlight Valley: The Keepsake Sea's New Biomes!

Dreamlight Valley The Keepsake Sea Confirmed Characters Captain Hook Megara Captain Jack Sparrow Milo Wendy Dory Flounder Sebastian

✨ I was absolutely blown away by the latest Dreamlight Valley Developer Showcase, with so many surprises revealed! There was certainly a lot to take in, and I'm still processing everything we got to see.

While I've dedicated today's entry to the new biomes coming with the Keepsake Sea expansion, I do need to quickly talk about the characters first, because... WOW!

We're getting Milo Thatch, Jack Sparrow, Megara, Captain Hook, and Wendy joining us on this next adventure, along with three new Adventure Companions! Dory will be included with the Standard Edition, while Flounder and Sebastian will come with the Deluxe Edition.

I'm SO happy with this character lineup! I'm especially glad that yesterday's teaser really was Hook, and having Wendy included in the lineup was such a lovely surprise. She certainly wasn't who I was expecting, but I'm just as excited to welcome her into the game! And with a second Peter Pan character joining the expansion alongside Hook, I'm curious to see how their stories unfold throughout the Keepsake Sea.

Now, let's take a closer look at the three new biomes coming with this expansion!

The Keepsake Sea will introduce three new biomes, each with its own unique theme and environment. While we haven't been given all the finer details just yet, such as the ingredients and other resources we'll discover throughout each area, we got an extensive look at the landscapes during the Showcase. And honestly, each biome reveal seemed to get better and better!

What I also love about the way this new DLC is set up is that each biome is located on its own island. We'll be able to sail our very own Pirate Ship between these different locations, making the journey through the expansion feel even more immersive as we explore everything the Keepsake Sea has to offer.

And then there's the whole underwater experience, including the ability to transform into a Merfolk and explore and decorate underwater areas! But I'll save more of those details for another entry. For now, let's take a look at the three new biomes!

Shipwreck Shores
First stop: our pirate adventure begins!

Dreamlight Valley The Keepsake Sea Shipwreck Shores Biome First Look

You'll begin your Keepsake Sea adventure in Shipwreck Shores, where you'll meet Milo Thatch and eventually Captain Jack Sparrow.

This biome is absolutely gorgeous! Before seeing it properly during the Showcase, I wondered whether it might feel too similar to Dazzle Beach, but those concerns quickly disappeared once we got a closer look at this new island. There's even a dedicated fortress area in this biome, where Jack Sparrow awaits.

Dreamlight Valley The Keepsake Sea Shipwreck Shores Biome Pirate Bay MiloDreamlight Valley The Keepsake Sea Shipwreck Shores Biome Haunted Fortress Jack Sparrow

Dreamlight Valley The Keepsake Sea Shipwreck Shores New Biome

Shipwreck Shores has such a colourful, adventurous feel to it, with its pirate-inspired surroundings and rugged coastal landscapes. It has a wonderful sense of exploration, and I can already imagine wandering around the island to discover all its little details and hidden corners.

Shipwreck Shores looks so inviting, and it feels like the perfect place to begin this new adventure! And if I recall correctly from the showcase, Jack Sparrow will be the one to introduce you to our very own Pirate Ship.

With Jack Sparrow joining the game alongside Milo, I'm looking forward to seeing how these characters fit into the story and what adventures await us along the way.

Candy Cove
A sweet surprise with a frosty twist!

Dreamlight Valley The Keepsake Sea Candy Cove Biome First Look

As you continue through the story, the next biome you'll unlock is Candy Cove - and this one absolutely blew my mind!

Candy isn't a theme I would usually think of if you asked me what kind of new biome I'd like to see in Dreamlight Valley. In fact, it's probably not something I would have chosen myself. But after seeing this biome during the Showcase, I was completely sold on the idea!

The colours throughout the entire area look incredible, from the candy-themed trees and surrounding landscaping to the purple-coloured water. Everything feels so wonderfully whimsical, and I love the way the biome combines its sweet theme with a frosty, wintery atmosphere.

I can already picture some beautiful builds here, especially with a cozy little setup featuring a warm fire against the chilly surroundings. There's something about that combination of colourful candy landscapes and cozy winter vibes that I absolutely love!

Dreamlight Valley The Keepsake Sea Candy Cove Biome MegaraDreamlight Valley The Keepsake Sea Candy Cove Shores New Biome Pink Clouds

Dreamlight Valley The Keepsake Sea Candy Cove Biome Captain Hook Purple Water

And can we talk about those PINK CLOUDS? I couldn't stop looking at them! I'm curious whether they'll move across the sky or if they're fixed elements of the island's landscape, but either way, they add such a lovely touch to the overall design.

I also have to say, this biome feels absolutely perfect for Vanellope! Even though I've grown accustomed to having her in my Ever After biome, I can already see myself moving her to Candy Cove once the expansion arrives. I think she'd fit right in with all the colourful, candy-inspired surroundings!

As for the characters, Candy Cove is where we'll meet Megara and Captain Hook. I'm particularly excited to see Megara in the Valley, and now that we know Hook really is joining us, I can't wait to discover what he'll bring to the story!

Candy Cove was such an unexpected favourite for me, and I have a feeling this island is going to be a lot of fun to decorate.

Kingdom of Oublié
A breathtaking kingdom above and below the waves.

Dreamlight Valley The Keepsake Sea Kingdom of Oublie Biome First Look Oublie

The final stop of the expansion will take us to the Kingdom of Oublié.

I am speechless.

Remember how I mentioned that each biome reveal seemed to get better and better? This one was absolutely breathtaking!

The colour palette here is such an interesting choice, with beautiful shades of green and pink-coral throughout the environment. It immediately reminded me of the Adventures in Never Land Star Path from 2025, although this biome has its own distinctive look and atmosphere.

I was pleasantly surprised by the combination of colours and the coral and seashell-inspired details throughout the kingdom. There's something almost otherworldly about the environment, and I can't wait to explore it properly and see how all the different elements come together in-game.

Dreamlight Valley The Keepsake Sea Kingdom of Oublie Biome A Magical KingdomDreamlight Valley The Keepsake Sea Kingdom of Oublie Biome Wendy

Dreamlight Valley The Keepsake Sea Kingdom of Oublie New Biome Guardian Architectures

One of the most interesting things about the Kingdom of Oublié is that it extends both above and below the sea, giving us even more to discover as we explore the island. I'm especially curious to see how the underwater areas complement the landscapes above the water, and what decorating possibilities we'll have in this particular biome. Though, if I understood correctly, each biome will have its own dedicated underwater area. I wonder if the underwater environment will look a little different in the Kingdom of Oublié compared to the other two biomes!

And then there's the character joining us here: Wendy!

I genuinely wasn't expecting Wendy to be part of this expansion, so seeing her included in the lineup was such a lovely surprise. With both Wendy and Captain Hook joining the Keepsake Sea adventure, I can't wait to see how these Peter Pan characters fit into the wider story.

The Kingdom of Oublié has left such a strong first impression on me, and I'm really looking forward to seeing more of this beautiful area once we can finally explore it ourselves.

Three very different worlds to explore!

All three of these biomes are so unique, and I cannot wait to explore them! They're each very different from anything we currently have in the game, and they're equally distinct from one another. I think that's what makes this expansion so exciting for me. From the adventurous coastlines of Shipwreck Shores, to the whimsical wintery world of Candy Cove, and the breathtaking Kingdom of Oublié, there's so much variety packed into this expansion.

I'm also really excited about the decorating possibilities! Gameloft has confirmed that the new biomes will feature their own themed architectural kits, alongside underwater decorations and water props. We'll also be able to decorate underwater areas at different elevations using special platforms, which opens up some fascinating possibilities for creating more detailed builds.

And you know me - I'm always looking forward to new furniture pieces to add to my collection! I'm already imagining all the different ways I could use these new themed items, both across the Keepsake Sea and potentially in some of my existing Valley builds.

Of course, there's still so much more to discover beyond the biomes themselves, from the new Merfolk features and underwater exploration to sailing our own Pirate Ship between islands. The Showcase has given us a wonderful first look at what's coming, but I have a feeling there are plenty of little details we'll only truly appreciate once we get to explore everything for ourselves.

The Keepsake Sea arrives on November 18, and I am SO ready to set sail! 🌊

I can't wait to see these beautiful biomes in-game, meet all the new characters, and start discovering everything this expansion has to offer. I have a feeling I'll be spending quite a bit of time exploring - and probably even longer decorating!

Thanks for joining me in today's Cozy Valley Journal entry! I'll be sharing more thoughts, discoveries and coverage from the Developer Showcase over the coming days, so be sure to check back soon for more Keepsake Sea news and cozy art. There's so much to look forward to, and we're only just getting started!

✨ Dreamlight Valley 2026 Developer Showcase Tomorrow!

Dreamlight Valley 2026 Developer Showcase Tomorrow, Keepsake Sea, Showcase Time

✨ I can't believe the time is finally here for the big Dreamlight Valley Developer Showcase that we all look forward to each year! I can barely contain my excitement for this one. It's not just about what's coming with the new Keepsake Sea DLC, but the Showcase will also give us a glimpse of what to expect from the next free content update and beyond! I'm expecting some epic reveals along the way, and I can't wait to see what Gameloft has planned for the Valley and its newly introduced neighbour, the Keepsake Sea.

The latest teaser video dropped by Gameloft earlier today also revealed some exciting new details. While it was only a quick 24-second trailer, there was a lot packed into it!

The video starts by showing part of the underwater environment that we've seen previously. While the surroundings themselves aren't entirely new, there are some new furniture pieces scattered throughout the scene. It's unclear which elements are part of the environment and which might be furniture pieces that we'll be able to move and decorate with. There's also a whirlwind-like portal nestled amongst the rocky walls. Could this be how we leave the underwater pathways, or will it take us somewhere else entirely?

Dreamlight Valley 2026 Developer Showcase Lilo

We then get a very quick look at Lilo alongside Stitch on Dazzle Beach, with a Christmas tree and a few scattered gifts visible in the shot. This probably reinforces the fact that the update will arrive later in the year, in December. We see Lilo holding a camera and seemingly taking a photo, and she looks amazing! Seeing her in motion for the first time alongside Stitch was absolutely adorable.

Next, we head back underwater to the Keepsake Sea, where we see our mermaid avatar alongside Mirabel and Eric! They're inside their very own personal submarine, which appears to be how villagers from the land will be able to explore or travel around underwater. In the background of the same shot, we can also see some new themed buildings. Could these be modular kits, similar to those introduced with last year's Wishblossom Ranch DLC?

Dreamlight Valley 2026 Developer Showcase New Biome and House Skin for Chez Remy

We then get a glimpse of what I presume is our Pirate Ship sailing across the waters of Shipwreck Shores, before moving on to what appears to be an entirely new biome!

At first, I thought this was another underwater area that we hadn't been shown before. However, after spotting the clouds in the sky and several waterfall features, I realised we're definitely looking at a location on land. The colours in this biome have such a unique palette and look incredible, and you can also catch a glimpse of a redesigned house skin for Chez Remy, which appears to be themed around the same area!

Dreamlight Valley 2026 Developer Showcase Captain Jack Sparrow Captain Hook Shipwreck Shores

Is Hook Coming?

And then comes the biggest reveal of the teaser video... it's Hook!

I was completely surprised to see him, and I'll admit that I didn't even catch him on my first viewing of the teaser. My eyes went straight to the surrounding environment as I tried to take everything in all at once!

Since this part of the teaser only lasts a few seconds, and the characters are much smaller in the shot, I had to zoom in and conduct my own little investigation. And honestly? It looks like Hook to me! 👀 Of course, I could be wrong, and nothing is confirmed until Gameloft reveals all the details during the upcoming Showcase. However, the scene appears to show part of Shipwreck Shores, with Hook and Jack Sparrow engaged in conversation while Sulley and Mike watch nearby.

With the Showcase dropping tomorrow, I've also put together a visual to help you prepare for its debut! I've listed several time zones in the image above, so you can check when the Showcase begins in your region, with the date rolling over to October 22 for Japan, Australia and New Zealand.

The Showcase starts at 4 AM my time, and honestly, I don't know how I'm going to fall asleep tonight knowing I'll be waking up for one of the most anticipated Dreamlight Valley Showcases of the year! I still haven't decided whether I'll wake up and catch it live or aim for a slightly more reasonable wake-up time and watch the Showcase with my usual delicious coffee at 6 AM. I guess it'll depend on how quickly I manage to fall asleep this evening! 😂

Dreamlight Valley 2026 Developer Showcase Twitch Drops The Keepsake Sea Photo Frame, The Pirate Crocodile Companion

Don't Forget the Twitch Drops!

And in case you missed it, there are also two exclusive Twitch Drops available from October 21 at 12:00 PM EDT until October 28 at 12:00 PM EDT.

By watching a participating streamer for 60 minutes, you can unlock the Keepsake Sea Photo Frame, and by watching for 90 minutes, you'll also unlock the Pirate Crocodile Companion!

To claim these items, head to the official Dreamlight Valley Twitch Drops page, where you'll be able to log into both your Twitch and Dreamlight Valley accounts and link them together. This step is crucial, as linking your accounts is how your viewing time gets registered towards the rewards.

Once that's done, simply watch a participating Dreamlight Valley stream for the required amount of time to unlock each reward. You'll first need to claim your Drops through Twitch, after which they'll be sent to your in-game mailbox for you to redeem. The official Dreamlight Valley Twitch Drops website also includes a full list of participating streamers, so you'll be able to find a stream to watch and start working towards those rewards!

There isn't long to go now until Gameloft blows me away into the waves of the Keepsake Sea with all the new details and surprises coming our way!

I can't wait to get a better glimpse of the new Merfolk feature and see how we'll look swimming underwater, find out what sailing across the water in our very own Pirate Ship will involve, and discover which other characters we might encounter along the way.

And then there's all the usual new content to look forward to, including ingredients, flowers, Companions and so much more! Even just catching a glimpse of these items throughout the Showcase is going to leave me with heart palpitations 😂 Hopefully, we'll even get a few redeemable codes throughout the showcase!

I've got my Valley seatbelt securely fastened! I am so ready for this Showcase, but equally, I am not ready at all!

I'll definitely be sharing more thoughts and covering the details once the Showcase drops tomorrow, so be sure to follow along on my socials and check back here over the coming week as I explore everything revealed for Dreamlight Valley and the Keepsake Sea!

✨ Trick or Treat Event: 2026

Dreamlight Valley Trick or Treat Event, Red Purple Green Candy Bowls, October 14 to October 31

✨ The latest Disney Dreamlight Valley update has brought with it two returning Halloween events, with the second of the two now available in the Valley! The Trick or Treat Event has returned, running from October 14 until October 31, with plenty of candy to collect and seasonal rewards to unlock.

During the event, you'll find three different coloured Candy Bowls appearing in the Plaza. Each bowl provides two pieces of candy when collected, which can be eaten, gifted to Villagers or used to craft some of the event's exclusive items.

Dreamlight Valley Trick or Treat Event, Trick or Treat at Villager Houses

This year also introduces a new way to collect candy, with the ability to go trick-or-treating at select Villager houses! There are also some brand-new Halloween Town decorations to unlock, giving us even more spooky items to add to our Valleys.

I've put together a complete look at the event, including where to find the candy, how often it appears, and everything you'll need to do to unlock each reward 🎃

🍬 Collecting Candy

Throughout the event, you'll find three different coloured Candy Bowls in the Plaza. Each bowl contains two pieces of candy in its matching colour, giving you Green Candy, Red Candy or Purple Candy to use throughout the event.

Here's how often you can find them:
- Green Candy Bowl: Provides 2 Green Candy.
- Red Candy Bowl: Provides 2 Red Candy.
- Purple Candy Bowl: Provides 2 Purple Candy.

From October 14 until October 30, two Candy Bowls of each colour appear every 24 hours. On Halloween itself, October 31, two of each colour will appear every hour instead! You can have up to five bowls of each colour present in the Valley at any one time.

One of the new additions for 2026 is the ability to trick-or-treat at select Villager houses. Each day, look for a lit Jack-O'-Lantern outside the house of one of the following Villagers:

- Mickey Mouse
- WALL-E
- Daisy
- Stitch
- Mike Wazowski
- Jack Skellington

Interact with the lit Jack-O'-Lantern to start a special trick-or-treat interaction. Each time you do, you'll receive 5 Green Candy, 5 Red Candy and 5 Purple Candy. The Jack-O'-Lanterns become available again after the daily reset.

This is a great way to stock up on candy, especially if you're hoping to craft the new Halloween Town decorations. Be sure to check the eligible houses each day so you don't miss out!

With each trick-or-treat interaction providing 15 pieces of candy, it's also a handy way to build up your supplies for crafting!

👻 Haunted Well Puzzle

Dreamlight Valley Trick or Treat Event Rewards, The Haunted Well, How to Complete Puzzle

The Haunted Well returns as part of this year's Trick or Treat event, giving you another spooky piece of furniture to unlock if you missed out on it previously. You'll need to have the Forest of Valor unlocked to complete this puzzle.

During the event, look for a red chest in the Plaza. Inside you'll find a Memory containing a clue to the puzzle. The clue will help you work out how much candy you'll need to transfer to the Haunted Well that has appeared in the Forest of Valor.

Once you've found the well, interact with it and transfer the following amounts of candy: 15 Green Candy, 10 Red Candy, 5 Purple Candy.

🎁 Transferring the correct amounts of candy completes the puzzle, and you'll unlock the Haunted Well furniture item.

Halloween is my favourite theme of the year, so I'm always happy to see these seasonal events return to Dreamlight Valley! Although the Trick or Treat event has appeared in previous years, I appreciate having six new Halloween Town furniture items to unlock this year.

I especially like that the new decorations require candy in their crafting recipes, giving me another reason to keep trick-or-treating and collecting as much candy as possible. I can already see myself using these pieces to create some spooky themed areas around the Valley, and I'm looking forward to crafting as many of them as I can!

There's a generous number of rewards to collect throughout this event, from the returning pumpkin decorations to the new Halloween Town items. If you've missed any of the previous rewards, this is also a great opportunity to catch up on your collection.

With the event running until October 31, there's still time to gather your candy, work through the event duties and unlock all the rewards. Happy trick-or-treating!

Thanks for reading along, and be sure to check out more Dreamlight Valley guides across the blog. I'll see you in the next entry! 📝

✨ All Storybook Vale Meals | Cooking Recipes

Dreamlight Valley Storybook Vale Cooking All Meals

✨ After working through the Storybook Vale cooking collection recipe by recipe, I can finally bring everything together in one place! With all the appetizers, entrées, and desserts now catalogued, this journal entry brings the entire collection together so you can browse all the meals without jumping between individual posts.

It's been a lovely collection to work through, and I think seeing all the recipes together really shows just how much variety Storybook Vale has to offer. There are some wonderfully named dishes, plenty of interesting ingredient combinations, and a few recipes that have become personal favourites along the way. I'm glad to have everything documented in one place now, and I'm happy seeing it slowly come together.

I've brought the full collection together with four categories to explore: All Meals, Appetizers, Entrées, and Desserts. You can browse the complete collection in one place, or head straight to a particular course depending on what you're looking for. I always enjoy having these little shortcuts available, especially as the recipe catalogue continues to grow and there's more to revisit.

This also marks the third cooking collection I've added to my Cooking Hub, alongside Eternity Isle and Honeyglow Woods! Seeing another expansion take its place alongside the others feels like a lovely milestone for the journal, and I'm excited to keep building on what I've started. There's still plenty of Dreamlight Valley cooking to explore, so this certainly won't be the last collection I add.

You can explore the full Storybook Vale cooking collection through the images above, whether you'd like to browse All Meals, Appetizers, Entrées, or Desserts. You can also visit the Cooking hub to explore the other collections I've catalogued so far, including Eternity Isle and Honeyglow Woods.

Thanks for joining me throughout this cooking series! It's been so satisfying to see the Storybook Vale collection come together from the first recipes to this final overview. I'll see where my next cooking adventure takes me, but for now, I'm happy to have another complete collection on Cozy Valley Journal.
