✨ The Grand Exhibition: Sunlit Plateau

Dreamlight Valley Olaf's Grand Exhibition - Sunlit Plateau Guide

✨ The next journal entry will take you into the Sunlit Plateau exhibit, another room that was recently added to Olaf’s Grand Exhibition.

With its warm colours, rocky landscapes and unmistakable savanna-inspired atmosphere, Sunlit Plateau has always had a personality of its own. The Exhibition gave me a reason to visit the biome to bring together some of the resources and collectibles it had to offer - though I did a little planning for this one ahead of time, collecting a bit of everything each day before the update dropped to make completing the room a little easier and quicker.

In this guide, I’ll walk through each display, everything you’ll need to complete it, and the rewards waiting at the end.

What is Olaf’s Grand Exhibition?

The Grand Exhibition is a special hub where you can display items collected throughout your Valley. Each biome has its own dedicated exhibit room, with displays built around different categories of items associated with that area.

As more rooms become available, the Exhibition continues to grow into a lovely collection of spaces that showcase the progress made throughout the Valley.

Sunlit Plateau Exhibit Overview

The Sunlit Plateau exhibit is made up of three displays: the Aquarium, Diorama and Habitat. Each display has two stages to complete, with the room gradually coming together as the required items are added.

Most stages are simple collections, while the Diorama displays require a little more gathering and preparation before everything can be completed.

🐟 Aquarium (Gems & Fish)

Dreamlight Valley Olaf's Grand Exhibition Sunlit Plateau Aquarium Display Guide & Reward, Fish, Gems

To complete the Aquarium:

Step 1: Collect all gems found in Sunlit Plateau
(Shiny Citrine, Citrine, Onyx, Shiny Tourmaline, Tourmaline)

Step 2: Collect all fish available in the biome
(Bass, Carp, Perch, Salmon, Tilapia, Walleye)

All required gems and fish are highlighted in the image above.

🌺 Diorama (Flowers & Blueprints)

Dreamlight Valley Olaf's Grand Exhibition Sunlit Plateau Diorama Display Guide & Rewards, Flowers, Blueprints, Resources

The Diorama follows its own two-stage progression:

Step 1: Collect all flowers from Sunlit Plateau
(Orange Houseleek, Pink Houseleek, Pink Bromeliad, Red Bromeliad, Yellow Bromeliad)

Step 2: Complete four blueprint builds using gathered materials
(See image above for the full list)

The second stage requires a selection of gathered materials to complete a set of blueprints, so it’s worth checking the full list before getting started. By this point in the Exhibition rooms, I’ve become familiar with the process and what resources are generally needed, so there are no real surprises with each upcoming exhibit.

One resource I noticed was missing from this exhibit was Cotton, and I fully expected to see it pop up somewhere in these blueprints, given that it can be found in Sunlit Plateau. All required flowers and resources are highlighted in the image above.

🐦‍πŸ”₯ Habitat (Food & Companions)

Dreamlight Valley Olaf's Grand Exhibition Sunlit Plateau Habitat Display Guide & Reward, Food, Companions

To complete the Habitat:

Step 1: Collect all food items tied to Sunlit Plateau
(Chili Pepper, Cherry, Cocoa Bean, Vanilla, Soya, Zucchini)

Step 2: Unlock all sunbird companions from this biome
(Emerald Sunbird, Golden Sunbird, Orchid Sunbird, Red Sunbird, Turquoise Sunbird)

All required food and companions are highlighted in the image above. Before adding the sunbirds to the exhibit, make sure they’ve been unlocked in your collection.

🎁 Rewards

Dreamlight Valley Olaf's Grand Exhibition Sunlit Plateau Completed Room Reward, Sunlit Plateau Robe

Each completed display comes with its own reward, with one final reward waiting once all three sections of the Sunlit Plateau exhibit have been completed.

Aquarium Reward: Sunlit Plateau Aquarium
Diorama Reward: Set of 4 Sunlit Plateau Dioramas
Habitat Reward: Sunlit Plateau Companion Home

Exhibit Room Completion Reward: Sunlit Plateau Robe

There’s something satisfying about seeing each Exhibition room gradually take shape, and I think Sunlit Plateau is a lovely addition to the collection. I really enjoyed putting this guide together, too. The warm, earthy feel of the biome comes through in the finished display, making it another room I’m happy to have tucked away inside the Grand Exhibition.

If you’re working through the other rooms too, you can also explore my Peaceful Meadow, Dazzle Beach, Forest of Valor, and Glade of Trust exhibition guides here for their full requirements and rewards.

I’ll continue adding Exhibition guides as more rooms become available, and I expect Frosted Heights to be added in the next few weeks! Thanks for stopping by and reading through, and I’ll catch you in the next entry.

✨ Dreamlight Valley Crafting Recipes | Part 1

Dreamlight Valley Crafting Recipes

✨ The latest free content update brought six new crafting recipes to Disney Dreamlight Valley, and this small collection might be one of my favourite themed additions. The Floral and Woodland Fae set has such a beautiful feel to it, with delicate florals, warm copper details, and soft lighting coming together to create a really cohesive collection.

The six new craftable items are:

Floral Fae Parasol
Floral Fae Picnic Blanket
Woodland Fae Copper Topiary
Woodland Fae Floral Arch
Woodland Fae Picnic Table
Woodland Fae String Lights

What I love about these recipes is that they genuinely feel like they were designed to be used together. There’s a lovely sense of continuity between the pieces, making it easy to imagine creating an entire little picnic or garden area rather than having to find completely separate items to make the space feel complete.

The Floral Fae Parasol and Picnic Blanket immediately lend themselves to a cozy outdoor picnic setup, while the Woodland Fae Picnic Table gives you another option for creating a more traditional gathering space. Add in the Floral Arch and Copper Topiary, and you can start building out a little garden setting around them rather than simply placing the furniture on its own.

And then there are the Woodland Fae String Lights, which might be my favourite finishing touch of the collection. Lighting can make such a difference to outdoor builds, particularly once the sun starts to set, and these feel like they would work beautifully draped around a picnic area, garden path, or cozy little gathering spot.

πŸ› ️ How to Craft These Items

Dreamlight Valley Crafting - Woodland Fae Picnic TableDreamlight Valley Crafting - Woodland Fae String Lights

All six recipes were added with the latest free content update, giving us a brand-new collection of items to craft and incorporate into our Valleys.

There is one additional step to keep in mind if you’re hoping to craft the Floral Fae Picnic Blanket. Its crafting recipe is unlocked when you complete Scrooge’s "Developed Decorating" Story Quest, so if you don’t see the recipe available yet, that quest is worth checking on your list.

All recipes can be crafted using their listed materials once you have access to them, with each image above showing exactly what you’ll need for each individual item.

I really appreciate when a collection like this gives you enough pieces to create a complete little scene without needing to rely entirely on unrelated dΓ©cor. Though I still love decorating the area with smaller pieces. The colours and woodland-inspired details make these particularly easy to blend into natural areas of the Valley, whether you’re creating a dedicated Fae-inspired space or simply adding a few softer touches to an existing garden.

Build & Decorating Thoughts

I think the Woodland Fae Floral Arch is probably the piece that gives you the most opportunity to build around. It could create a lovely entrance into a garden, frame a picnic area, or even be used to add some structure to a pathway. With the right foliage around it, I can imagine it becoming one of those pieces that looks completely different depending on where you place it.

The Woodland Fae Copper Topiary is another little detail that I think will be surprisingly versatile. While it naturally fits with the rest of the collection, the copper finish could also work alongside other garden dΓ©cor, especially if you’re trying to bring a little more structure into an otherwise very natural-looking area.

For something more relaxed, the Floral Fae Picnic Blanket and Woodland Fae Picnic Table give you two different ways to create an outdoor gathering spot. I love having options like this because not every build needs to look the same. One could become a quiet little picnic tucked away amongst the flowers, while another could be part of a larger garden party or community space. And of course, the Floral Fae Parasol is perfect for those smaller moments. It instantly gives a seating or picnic area a little more purpose while adding another layer of colour and texture to the scene.

The six pieces together really do make this feel like a complete collection rather than six unrelated recipes. That’s probably what I enjoy most about them - you can craft just one or two pieces and incorporate them into an existing build, or go all in and create a whole little Floral Fae corner of your Valley.

After spending so much time working through some of the older crafting catalogue, it’s also really nice to have a handful of brand-new recipes to immediately add to the collection. These are the kinds of additions that make me want to open up the decorating menu and start experimenting straight away. I’m also hoping we see more themed crafting sets added in future free content updates, because if they’re anything like this one, I’ll be very happy.

I’m looking forward to seeing how these new Floral Fae pieces find their way into my Valley, and I’ll be continuing to share more crafting recipes, guides, and decorating inspiration here on Cozy Valley Journal.

✨ Premium Shop: Crafty Crochet Stand

Dreamlight Valley Premium Shop, Crafty Crochet Stand Furniture Item

✨ The Crafty Crochet Stand is such a unique take on a stall, and I knew I wanted to add it to my collection the moment it popped up in this week’s Premium Shop rotation. I love the little details and cozy handmade feel it brings to the Valley, even if I’m still figuring out exactly where I’ll use it in my builds. I could see it working beautifully as a little craft market, tucked into a cottage garden, or perhaps as part of a cozy village shopping area - either way, I’m sure I’ll find the perfect spot for it eventually!

This stall feels a little different from the usual decorating pieces, and it definitely caught my attention. The crochet theme gives it such a warm, handmade quality, making it feel like the sort of little stall you might stumble across while wandering through a quiet village market. It also feels like one of those items that could work in several different biomes depending on the surrounding decor... though I need to test that theory!

I haven't quite decided what I'll do with it yet, but that's part of the fun. Sometimes I pick up a furniture item because I already have the perfect build in mind, and at other times I just know it's an item I want and will figure out where it belongs later. The Crafty Crochet Stand is definitely the latter for me, and I have a feeling it will eventually inspire a build of its own.

For 1,500 Moonstones, this feels like a lovely little addition to my collection, especially if you enjoy creating market areas or adding those smaller details that make a space feel more lived-in. I'm looking forward to seeing where this one eventually finds a home in my Valley

✨ Redemption Code: D23 Varsity Jacket 2026

Dreamlight Valley D23 Varsity Jacket 2026 Redemption Code

✨ Two redeem codes in one week! ❤️ The second has arrived following the Dreamlight Valley D23 presentation earlier this week, unlocking the D23 Varsity Jacket 2026. I love that this reward was tied into the presentation; it’s a fun way to keep a little piece of the D23 spirit with you in-game. I really love the lanyard and pins on this one, which make it feel so cozy to wear, and even the Moon and Star print glows at night! Enter code “DDVD23PANELGIFT” in your in-game settings to redeem, and as always, it’ll be sent to your mailbox to claim.

The D23 Varsity Jacket 2026 is a fun addition to the wardrobe, and I think it’ll work nicely for a more casual Valley look. I particularly like clothing rewards that have a little story or memory attached to them, and having this one tied to the D23 presentation makes it feel like a small keepsake from an exciting week of Dreamlight Valley news. It’s also a nice way to finish off a week that has already brought us another redeem code. Two in one week is definitely something I’m not complaining about!

✨ Summer Sizzle Event

Dreamlight Valley Summer Sizzle Event

✨ The Summer Sizzle Event has returned to Dreamlight Valley this year, running from August 5 to August 18! For me, this is one of those lovely, slower-paced events. Considering just how much there has been to do in the game lately, I have absolutely no complaints - I always enjoy having a breather and soaking in a few slow weeks.

As with all events, Summer Sizzle comes with event-exclusive rewards, with a total of 12 to collect. Of these rewards, there are 5 brand-new ones to unlock in this returning 2026 event!

Dreamlight Valley Summer Sizzle Event, Pink Marshmallow, Blue Marshmallow

This event will have you collecting marshmallows from marshmallow bushes that appear in your Valley. You'll be able to find a total of 6 bushes across the Plaza and Peaceful Meadow - three bushes are dedicated to collecting Blue Marshmallows, and the other three are for Pink Marshmallows. Collecting these is crucial, as they allow you to cook event-related meals, craft cozy furniture items, and complete event duties to unlock your rewards!

Dreamlight Valley Summer Sizzle Event, Cooking Recipes, S'mores, Roasted Marshmallows, Rewards

The Summer Sizzle Event brings two types of delicious campfire meals: Roasted Marshmallows and S'mores.

Here is the recipe and meal breakdown:

πŸ“– Roasted Marshmallows | ✨ Dreamlight Valley
🧺 Pink Marshmallow (2), Blue Marshmallow (2)
4⭐️ Dessert | ⚡️ 3,470 Energy | πŸ’° 300 Star Coins

πŸ“– S'mores | ✨ Dreamlight Valley
🧺 Pink Marshmallow, Blue Marshmallow, Wheat (2)
4⭐️ Dessert | ⚡️ 1,832 Energy | πŸ’° 156 Star Coins

This event also comes with three event duties to track in your menu.

Gifting 25 Roasted Marshmallows to Villagers will complete the 'Share Some Sweetness' event duty and unlock the Birding Top (clothing item). Though information on the Dreamlight Valley Wiki page states you'll need to gift S'mores to complete this duty. As I completed this duty a few years back, I'm unable to confirm which of these is correct. If you're yet to complete this duty, definitely test it by gifting one of each meal to see which counts towards the event duty when tracking it in the event tab.

Eating 25 S'mores will complete the 'Savor Some Sweetness' event duty and unlock the Hiking Backpack (clothing item).

Dreamlight Valley Summer Sizzle Event, Crafting Recipes, Rewards, Bonfire Pit, Summer Crafting Station, Sizzling BBQ Cooking Station, Vintage Cooler

One of my absolute favourite parts of any event has to be crafting special items, and Summer Sizzle comes with 5 different items you can craft. Each one requires event meals as part of its crafting recipe:

πŸ“– Bonfire Pit | ✨ Dreamlight Valley
πŸ› ️ Roasted Marshmallows (15), Hardwood (50), Stone (50), Coal Ore (10)

πŸ“– Outdoor Lounge Chair | ✨ Dreamlight Valley
πŸ› ️ Roasted Marshmallows (5), Fabric (25), Iron Ingot (5), S'mores (5)

πŸ“– Sizzling BBQ Cooking Station | ✨ Dreamlight Valley
πŸ› ️ S'mores (20), Coal Ore (10), Iron Ore (20)

πŸ“– Summer Crafting Station | ✨ Dreamlight Valley
πŸ› ️ S'mores (20), Fabric (20), Hardwood (20)

πŸ“– Vintage Cooler | ✨ Dreamlight Valley
πŸ› ️ S'mores (15), Iron Ingot (5), Snowball (100), Dreamlight (1000)

Dreamlight Valley Summer Sizzle Event, Crafting Recipes, Rewards, Event Quests, Lake Dock Recipe, Lake Dock Boat Port Recipe, Decorative Picnic Basket

The return of the Summer Sizzle Event in 2026 has brought some exciting new rewards with it! To unlock these items, you'll need to complete daily event quests given by Remy, Goofy, or Ursula. Doing so will progress you through the brand-new 'Deliver Some Sweetness' event duty to unlock the following:

Completing 1 Daily Quest: Unlocks the Decorative Picnic Basket (Furniture item)

Completing 2 Daily Quests: Unlocks the Lake Dock crafting recipe

Completing 4 Daily Quests: Unlocks the Lake Dock Corner crafting recipe

Completing 6 Daily Quests: Unlocks the Lake Dock Boat Port crafting recipe

Completing a daily event quest will also reward you with a 'Summer Picnic Basket' item, which pops straight into your inventory. You have the option to either gift this to one of your villagers, or sell it through Goofy's stall. Personally, I held onto mine and placed them in one of my event storage chests! While it looks identical, this item does vary from the 'Decorative Picnic Basket' (furniture item), which can be ordered in more quantities from Scrooge's Store.

Once unlocked, you can use the crafting recipes below for each of the new Lake Dock pieces:

πŸ“– Lake Dock | ✨ Dreamlight Valley
πŸ› ️ Softwood (8), Blue Marshmallow (1), Pink Marshmallow (1)

πŸ“– Lake Dock Corner | ✨ Dreamlight Valley
πŸ› ️ Softwood (6), Blue Marshmallow (2), Pink Marshmallow (2)

πŸ“– Lake Dock Boat Port | ✨ Dreamlight Valley
πŸ› ️ Softwood (4), Blue Marshmallow (3), Pink Marshmallow (3)

As you can see from all the cooking and crafting recipes, collecting both Blue and Pink Marshmallows during the Summer Sizzle Event is absolutely crucial. Be sure to gather as many as you can before the event wraps up on August 18!

Cozy Tip: Don't forget to bring a Foraging buddy along with you while you complete your rounds. Hanging out with them means you'll get plenty of bonus drops when harvesting those marshmallow bushes!

Thanks for reading through. I hope you found this guide helpful, and I hope to catch you in the next Cozy Valley Journal entry.
