✨ Springtime Floating Festival: Event Rewards

✨ The Springtime Floating Festival in Dreamlight Valley comes with six exclusive rewards to unlock after you complete puzzles scattered across the floating island. From Wonderland-inspired items to festive seasonal décor, each reward ties into your progress throughout the event and helps make the floating island feel even more magical. Check out all the rewards you can claim before the limited-time event ends on May 19!

I really liked how varied the rewards felt in this event, especially with the mix of furniture, decorative pieces, and wearable items - even though I won’t personally end up wearing the Gardener’s Apron (might throw it onto a mannequin for display somewhere), I can still appreciate the variety it adds to the reward pool.  What I also appreciate about the furniture rewards is that, once unlocked, you’re able to purchase additional from Scrooge’s Store for future builds and decorating projects. The Cheerful Garden Gnome was definitely my personal favourite though - it’s such a small cozy detail, but feels perfect for decorating little garden corners around the Valley 🌸

Be sure to complete all puzzles soon, as the floating island will no longer be accessible once the event ends. I’ve also added full puzzle walkthroughs to the blog, including video guides for all six puzzles if you need a hand finishing the event. It’s also worth noting that Puzzle 3 takes a minimum of four days to complete, so if you haven’t started that one yet, it’s worth beginning today to make sure you can still claim the reward before the event ends.

This event was a really fun addition to the game, and while its not the first floating island event, I still enjoyed how different it felt compared to the usual seasonal events in the Valley. Between the floating island, puzzle mechanics, and themed rewards, it ended up feeling much more interactive and memorable. I’m definitely looking forward to a small cozy break before the next in-game event begins.

✨ All Eternity Isle Cooking Recipes

✨ If you’ve been looking to complete your Eternity Isle recipe collection in Disney Dreamlight Valley, I’ve now added full recipe guides to the blog covering appetizers, entrées, desserts, and drinks from the expansion.

Eternity Isle introduced a huge variety of new meals to the game - with over 100 recipes ranging from cozy desserts and teas, to larger entrées and unique dishes inspired by different flavours and cultures.

Some of my personal favourites from the expansion are easily the desserts. The Strawberry Pie, Macarons, Cotton Candy, and Muffins all look amazing when displayed around kitchens, cafés, and bakery builds throughout the Valley.

The entrée and appetizer selection is also surprisingly varied, featuring meals like Falafel, Dumplings, Schnitzel, the Royal Burger, and Hawaiian Pizza - alongside a few drinks and a range smaller dishes that help make food displays feel more detailed.

✨ Villager Overview: Cogsworth

 ✨ This Villager Overview focuses on Cogsworth from Beauty and the Beast. Proper, organised, and constantly trying to keep everything running on schedule, Cogsworth brings a very different kind of energy to the Valley. While he can come across a little strict at times, there’s also something genuinely charming about the way he throws himself into keeping things in order - even when everything around him feels chaotic.

From unlocking him through the Beauty and the Beast storyline to progressing through his friendship quests, Cogsworth’s character leans heavily into routine, responsibility, and his ongoing attempts to maintain structure around the Valley… whether anyone asked for it or not.

🔓 How To Unlock Cogsworth

To unlock Cogsworth, you’ll need to open the Beauty and the Beast Realm in the Dream Castle and complete all Beauty and the Beast realm quests, including unlocking both Belle and the Beast.

Cogsworth is officially unlocked during the final realm quest, “A Guide to Better Castle-Keeping.” Prior to this, you’ll also construct Beast’s Castle in the Valley, which is where Cogsworth resides alongside the other Beauty and the Beast characters.

Beast’s Castle is still one of the more impressive homes in the game. It has a huge visual presence, but it works beautifully in the Forest of Valor or any more dramatic, castle-inspired build areas. Having Cogsworth wandering around inside the castle honestly helps make the whole space feel more complete. 

📜 Cogsworth’s Friendship Quests

Cogsworth’s quests lean heavily into organisation, routines, and trying to keep things under control - which naturally means things rarely go exactly to plan. A lot of his questline revolves around managing problems, helping other villagers, and restoring a sense of order around the Valley.

Here are Cogsworth’s friendship quests in order:

Level 2: Running Like Clockwork

Level 4: On Her Majesty's Festive Service

Level 7: The Circle of Friendship

Level 10: Vote for Cogsworth!

There’s a surprisingly cosy feel to his quests overall. Even when he’s frustrated or overwhelmed, it usually comes from wanting everything to work properly, and that makes him oddly endearing the more time you spend around him.

As with other villagers, you can increase Cogsworth’s friendship level through daily conversations, favourite gifts, completing quests, or asking him to hang out while completing tasks around the Valley.

🎁 Cogsworth’s Friendship Rewards

Cogsworth’s rewards lean into a more elegant, traditional style, with pieces inspired by the grand interior aesthetic of Beauty and the Beast. A lot of the items work especially well in formal rooms, libraries, or castle-style builds. The level 8 friendship reward, the Rococo Craftsmen's Desk, can also be used as a crafting table - and it’s easily one of my favourite themed crafting tables in the game.

⭐ Completing Cogsworth’s level 10 friendship quest also unlocks the Clockwork Coat (Clothing item) and the Election Victory Party (Furniture item), which can also be used to gather random villagers nearby while using Camera Mode.

The following rewards are unlocked by completing Cogsworth’s friendship quests, rather than simply reaching each level:

⭐ Level 2: Tropical Lifeguard Chair, and Harmonious Screen (6) (Furniture items) 

⭐ Level 4: Winter Carnival Banner (4), Icy Armchair, and Frozen Hot Cocoa Counter (Furniture items)

⭐ Level 7: Red Rose Vase (Furniture item)

You’ll also unlock the crafting recipes for the Harmonious Screen (Level 2), Icy Armchair, and Frozen Hot Cocoa Counter (Level 4), allowing you to craft additional as needed.

You’ll find all these quest-locked rewards highlighted in the images below.

✨ Personally, Cogsworth ended up being a lot more enjoyable than I expected. He’s not the loudest or most attention-grabbing villager, but there’s something really entertaining about his constant need to keep everything organised while the Valley continues being… well, the Valley. 

His animations and dialogue also feel incredibly true to the original character. Watching him wander around trying to maintain composure while surrounded by complete chaos somehow never gets old. I especially loved seeing some of his animations play out - it genuinely felt like watching deleted or extended scenes from Beauty and the Beast, which is a film I’ve always held close to my heart.

I also really liked how well he fits into the broader Beauty and the Beast atmosphere. Having Cogsworth, Lumiere, Belle, and Beast all together genuinely makes Beast’s Castle feel alive in a way it didn’t before.

✨ Premium Shop: Railway Station Set

✨ This week's premium shop surprised me with The Railway Station Set - and it instantly made me want to redesign half my Valley the moment I placed it down. I’ve always loved these larger decorating kits because they make an area feel like a real, connected space rather than just scattered furniture pieces, and this set does exactly that. From the station entrance and crossing sign to the railway tracks themselves, everything works together so naturally to create a cozy little travel hub that feels full of story and movement.

What I especially enjoy about this set is how flexible it feels when decorating. The pieces don’t just work in one specific theme - they blend surprisingly well into city builds, amusement park areas, or even more rustic spaces depending on how you style them. The little station details give the Valley a lived-in atmosphere, almost like villagers should be arriving and departing throughout the day.

This bundle includes eight separate pieces, which honestly makes it feel even more worthwhile to decorate with. I love when Premium Shop sets give enough variety to properly build around, rather than feeling like a single decorative item placed on its own. It’s the kind of set that immediately sparks new layout ideas the second you start experimenting with it.

I can already tell this is going to become one of those permanent decorating staples in my Valley - especially for larger builds where I want pathways and scenery to feel more connected together. This set was definitely worth it, costing 2500 Moonstones.

✨ Crafting Recipes From The Storybook Vale | Part 6

This crafting entry focuses on ten indoor craftable items from the Storybook Vale DLC, bringing together a collection of decorative pieces designed to add personality, atmosphere, and storytelling to interior builds throughout your Valley.

Unlike some of the previous crafting catalogues, this set leans heavily into indoor decoration - with wall pieces, lighting, doors, windows, and framed décor all taking centre stage. Grouping these items together made the most sense visually, but also highlighted the Storybook Vale interior decorating possibilities through crafting alone.

With the first image above showing the full collection, and the remaining slides focusing on each recipe individually, this format allows you to look through the catalogue in a more organised and intentional way. Some of these pieces naturally fit within themed rooms, while others are versatile enough to work across a huge range of interiors.

One thing I’ve really enjoyed while working through the Storybook Vale crafting catalogue is noticing how many smaller decorative details quietly elevate a room. Items like frames, windows, lighting, and wall décor may not always feel like the “main attraction” at first glance, but they’re often the finishing touches that make a build feel complete.

🛠️ How to Craft These Storybook Vale Items

All ten recipes can be unlocked through the Storybook Vale DLC, with each image above showing the exact materials required for that item.

This collection especially stands out because of how differently each item can be used depending on the room you’re building. The Madrigal Family Door and Royal Candy Doors instantly introduce strong themes and colour palettes, while pieces like the Wooden Storybook Frame or Corporate Ceiling Lamp are much more subtle and adaptable.

The Sea Palace Window and The Stained Glass Window to Imagination are probably the biggest standouts visually in this collection. Windows have such a huge impact on how interiors feel in Dreamlight Valley, and these ones immediately draw your attention while helping shape the atmosphere of a room.

Meanwhile, smaller decorative pieces like the Storybook Frames are perfect for layering detail into spaces without overwhelming them. What I really liked about these is that they work similarly to a Memory Frame, except instead of displaying a memory image, you can choose one of the completed Lorekeeper Tales to showcase instead. Once placed on the wall, you can simply approach and interact with the frame to swap the displayed tale whenever you’d like, which makes it even more magical when adding a scene to a matching themed room.  

The Classroom Blackboard is also a really nice addition to this crafting set, with a clean and versatile finish that works across a range of interior styles. While it naturally suits classroom or study-themed builds, it also pairs especially well with the existing orange and green bind furniture collections from Storybook Vale.

Build & Decorating Thoughts

This collection feels especially useful if you enjoy designing interiors with a strong sense of identity. Whether you’re creating themed bedrooms, libraries, study spaces, classrooms, restaurants, or whimsical fantasy rooms, there’s something in this set that can help anchor the aesthetic.

The “La Ratatouille” Sign works beautifully in kitchen builds or restaurant-inspired interiors, while the Classroom Blackboard naturally lends itself to school or study-themed rooms. I could also see the Storybook Frames working nicely in hallways, reading corners, or layered gallery-style walls mixed alongside other decorative items.

The doors and windows are probably the most transformative pieces in this set. Swapping out a standard door or adding a themed window can completely change the feeling of a room, especially once lighting and furniture start coming together around it.

I also think this collection highlights something I’ve appreciated throughout the Storybook Vale DLC as a whole - the variety. Some recipes are large statement pieces, while others exist purely to support and elevate surrounding décor. Both are equally important when building spaces that feel cohesive and personal.

As this part of the Storybook Vale crafting catalogue comes to a close, it’s been satisfying seeing just how many unique furniture and décor pieces the DLC introduced through crafting alone. Working through these entries in grouped collections has made the catalogue feel far less overwhelming, while also helping me appreciate items I may have otherwise overlooked.

There’s still one final area of Storybook Vale crafting I’d love to explore in a future entry - snippets, snippet farming, and the crafting tied to them. That side of the DLC deserves its own dedicated guide, especially considering how important snippets become while progressing through Storybook Vale.
